Who: Anyone who wants to come by
What: Grand-opening party!
Where: Pancho's Bar
When: Friday Night

The streamers were up (because Jan had insisted), and the bar was as ready as it ever would be. Alcohol was stored in a few make-shift shelves on the back wall and a relatively well-cobbled together bar was freshly polished and ready to go. It wasn't the most well-put-together, place, but Pancho's definitely resembled its namesake in terms of dim lighting, chipped tables and a floor that looked like it should be sticky. All in all, Carol was pretty proud of what they'd made. The minifridge was even a good choice since it allowed them to keep some drinks cold (they were going to have to find a larger one in the future, though).

She had warned Peter that the pizza oven needed to be ready by that evening, but she wasn't sure how on the ball with that he was. She'd been busy doing damage control on some electrical issues they were having with the fridge and double checking to make sure they actually had drinking cups (that took a little bit of maneuvering, but Clint came through with the coffee mugs). Yup, vodka from coffee mugs, a mini-fridge filled with a variety of stolen beers, and mismatched chairs. And, of course, the balloons. The annoying, awful squeaky balloons that had floated into a couple of corners of the room, save for the two that kept dragging on the floor and that Carol dreaded would pop at some point that evening. Definitely professional.

Karaoke was set up in one corner of the room with a make-shift stage and Christmas lights (Yes, more Christmas lights) decorating around it. Old 80s rock music blasted from the speakers for now, and Carol stood behind the bar, ready to serve as needed but more than willing to drag anyone else into the position should they so choose that evening.

"Sometimes it's coffee," Tony pointed out, because it was true. Just not always. And certainly not when he had other options that he'd been denied from for a while now. He'd be blitzed by the end of it all, he knew, and was already mentally preparing himself for wandering around until he remembered which house he lived in. It was a lot more difficult when it wasn't much larger than all the other buildings.

"It has," he agreed, because while Viz had been one of the ones who'd stayed after the accords, he'd also been more distant. And he'd gone off to visit the others when he thought Tony wasn't paying any mind. "I don't know if unwinding is the right word," he admitted but then shrugged. "You doing okay? Settling in?"

"Things have been strangely peaceful since I have arrived," Vision replied honestly. While the statement was worded in a way that seemed lighthearted, there was a distinct expression of confusion on his face. He sighed gently and slowly fixed his gaze on Tony. "I know that should be good news, but I am unable to settle my mind on what tranquility this place offers us."

"There are various ideals in this place that I favor very much, and I truly appreciate how kind everyone has been since I first arrived," he reasoned aloud. "However, having been pulled moments before my end leaves me unsettled. How have you adjusted since your arrival, knowing all that was left behind?"

"That's a sentiment I can get behind," Tony said with a little huff that was somewhere between a laugh and a sigh because Vision really had it the mark on it's head. "It's weird, knowing everything is quiet. I constantly feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop." But then, that was always how Tony felt, and he was almost always right about that.

Still, there were some things he liked about this place.

"I'm -- it's better," he said, thoughtful. "I left a lot of bad behind. There was -- you know. Everyone was gone." There was still a huge part of him though, that felt like it was on him to fix it.

“This morning, when I left my residence, there was absolute silence in the streets. There were birds singing, and a gentle breeze…” While it was a pleasant feeling to most, Vision wore a puzzled expression as he spoke about it. “The stillness was tranquil, but unsettling.”

The routine he was accustomed to living out was one of negative energy, and it was therapeutic in knowing he wasn’t alone in such thoughts. “Yes, there was a lot of chaos that was left behind, but fate has strange ways of working things out,” he figured in reasoning. “If you are here, I’m here, and others… I’m sure those who were left behind will all make their way here. It is only a matter of time before the universe allows that pathway to make itself known to everyone.”
