Who: Anyone who wants to come by
What: Grand-opening party!
Where: Pancho's Bar
When: Friday Night

The streamers were up (because Jan had insisted), and the bar was as ready as it ever would be. Alcohol was stored in a few make-shift shelves on the back wall and a relatively well-cobbled together bar was freshly polished and ready to go. It wasn't the most well-put-together, place, but Pancho's definitely resembled its namesake in terms of dim lighting, chipped tables and a floor that looked like it should be sticky. All in all, Carol was pretty proud of what they'd made. The minifridge was even a good choice since it allowed them to keep some drinks cold (they were going to have to find a larger one in the future, though).

She had warned Peter that the pizza oven needed to be ready by that evening, but she wasn't sure how on the ball with that he was. She'd been busy doing damage control on some electrical issues they were having with the fridge and double checking to make sure they actually had drinking cups (that took a little bit of maneuvering, but Clint came through with the coffee mugs). Yup, vodka from coffee mugs, a mini-fridge filled with a variety of stolen beers, and mismatched chairs. And, of course, the balloons. The annoying, awful squeaky balloons that had floated into a couple of corners of the room, save for the two that kept dragging on the floor and that Carol dreaded would pop at some point that evening. Definitely professional.

Karaoke was set up in one corner of the room with a make-shift stage and Christmas lights (Yes, more Christmas lights) decorating around it. Old 80s rock music blasted from the speakers for now, and Carol stood behind the bar, ready to serve as needed but more than willing to drag anyone else into the position should they so choose that evening.

Listen, some people had more than one vice. Coffee was great. The best. Like, so important that Clint was pretty sure that he couldn't (and wouldn't) live without it. Important enough to build up a business in order to make sure that everyone else could have it too, so he got that.

But he was kind of a drinker too. Nothing crazy exactly, but he liked a beer or six at night, somewhere between sitting down and passing out a little more than he liked coffee. It was a timing thing. He also tended to like things like television and pizza that came directly to his door, but there was only so much he was getting here.

So yeah. Pancho's was nice. Particularly because he knew pizza was on the table later. Alpha Peter was really just pulling through in every which way lately and Kate had better watch her back, because Clint was pretty sure he was creeping up to best friends forever status.

"Yeah," he said, eyeing up her beer and making wiggly fingers at it, like he was prompting her to share before he went and got his own. "Gotta look good. I even brushed my hair!"

He had not.

If Clint had mentioned the danger of her official bff status dropping, she would have challenged him to a darts game (did they even have darts here?) where she wouldn't feel bad if she sunk so low as to cheat just to win. She wasn't even sure what the official bet of the challenge would be, but just the fact she could beat him. Even though they both knew he was the better marksman. (Which she would never, ever, EVER say out loud).

So better for both of them that said thoughts were just that.

"This one's for you," she said, holding out the second bottle, glancing up at his supposedly brushed hair. "I'm impressed. Who knew you could clean up so well?" Not that they really had anywhere fancy to be, but this seemed like a pretty big get together; it looked like the whole town had come out to celebrate! Ah, the wonders of booze.

"Think we'll be able to get a rendition of 'Danger Zone' from you tonight?" She took a swig of her drink, nodding towards the dilapidated stage that was set up with a karaoke machine.

Yes, good for them both that thoughts weren't out loud things. Or, usually weren't anyway. All bets were sort of off once either of them had had a few, but that wasn't yet, and Clint wasn't worried. Kate was still his favorite, anyway. Particularly when she pulled out a second bottle of beer.

"You spoil me, Bishop," he said, taking the bottle. "And yeah, I know. I impressed myself. You too, obviously." Except Kate did clean up pretty well, they both knew that from experience. Clint could if he wanted to, but didn't see much of a point here -- everyone should have just felt grateful that he hadn't brought his bow along with him for one of the first times ever.

"Kenny Loggins?" he asked, contemplating. "Why?" He wasn't saying no though, because, well, that song was a bop, okay? It was just great. No shame.

"Yeah, well don't get used to it. You get the opening shift tomorrow at COFFEE, so..." She clinked her bottle against his before taking another sip, her eyes growing big as if she were daring him to challenge. They didn't really have a schedule and she felt they had been fairly even in who had to open. Not that they had to wake up that early here, but still; who wanted to worry about when they'd have to get up after a night of drinking?

"Because it's a great song?" Duh. But she shrugged as if it didn't matter to her. It wasn't like she'd be able to take a video, text it to all their friends and upload to social media for the rest of the world to see. Everyone that they were friends with were here, sorta.

"Unless you had a different song in mind? I mean...someone's gotta start us off!"

"Aw, opening," Clint said a little sadly, but it was true that they didn't open all that early anyway so it wasn't a huge deal. Plus like, what was gonna happen if they opened a little later than usual because he was tired? Was someone going to complain? Was he going to get fired? Nope to both of those things.

"It's a great song--wait. No. No way. I'm not starting anyone off. That's not a me thing. It should be someone else. Like..." He frowned and looks around the bar, trying to figure out who he could pin that honor on, but was coming up a little short. "I dunno. Jan or that wizard kid?"

"Which wizard kid?" There were a couple of them now, weren't there? Still, it didn't seem like anyone had been gutsy enough to be the first one up, but the party was just getting started. She was sure about a few more bottles, someone would feel the call. She was just holding out that it would be Clint.

"Do you think the town will continue to grow big if we start getting a lot of people here? Or do you think, once all the rooms are taken up, people will stop showing up?" Or they'd just continue to show up and they'd have to build more houses. That didn't sound like fun. But this place seemed to be filled with helpful (and handy) people, so maybe it wouldn't be that bad. Still, she was surprised the number of people who seemed to be showing up, some of them she either didn't recall or seemed completely new. Had the whole universe been affected? She thought she remembered someone mentioning that. So that had to mean they had A LOT more people to wait on.

It ight be Clint. But in all reality it probably wouldn't be. This wasn't like a local bar with local friends, or better yet the Stark Mansion with only Avengers to make a fool of himself in front of. "You know the one over --oh. He disappeared. Well. Never mind." Best to stick to his beer, apparently.

"I dunno," he said thoughtfully, looking up at the ceiling, and then at the the tables. "It was like, there were plenty of houses when we got here. And I don't feel like we're running out of space, either. But people do keep on showing up, don't they? Man, I hope we don't have to build stuff. I had trouble with an Ikea shelf once." Steve'd be good at it though. And Tony, probably. Maybe the wizards? "What brings that question on?"
