Kate had been ecstatic that America had come back for her to check out the convention. It was certainly a trip, but one that she knew to dress the part for. She had on her purple jumpsuit and, a bit hesitantly, put on her mother's necklace that had randomly appeared on Monday. She had thought it was some kind of sick joke, but how had it gotten here? She had meant to confront Loki about it, but Clint had come all excited like to tell her about the convention and it was easy to forget it.

Her bow and a quiver of arrows were slung across her back; she figured as long as she didn't actually do any archery, they'd be fine and allowed into the convention. She could pass them off as props. "Have you found any yous?" she asked as they stalked the convention floor. It was still the most bizarre thing to walk into, but she couldn't help but glance at all the people milling around, looking at stalls and dressed up. "The first time I saw someone dressed up as me, I think I may have squealed a little too much." She laughed, hooking her arm through America's. It was kinda nice to feel like a celebrity for once. They seemed to be getting a lot of compliments and people who said they "shipped" them, whatever that meant.

Kate's stomach grumbled and she looked over at her friend. "Food? Put a piece of a pizza in my hand and then I'll toootally look the part!"

America rolled her eyes when Kate struggled to come up with a way to counter her reminder that they always shared easily and then snorted at what she finally did try. "Please, if you think that you could ever possibly take up unnecessary space you are sorely mistaken, chica." She shook her head at the very thought, it didn't matter where they were or what they were doing any space that Kate took up was absolutely necessary space. "I've got plenty of room right here, I don't know if you noticed but these beds are pretty roomy."

"Oh yeah, definitely wings," She agreed as Kate suggested what else they could get from room service, they were also going to have to get some dessert later too, and America was just getting ready to flip to the desserts page of the booklet when she was suddenly hit right in the face with a pillow, making her freeze mid-action while Kate had already started holding her hands up in surrender.

"It's on," She grabbed for a pillow and threw it at Kate, not exactly as hard as she could possibly throw it, after all Kate was her bestie and she didn't want to hurt her, but she wasn't going to let being hit in the face with a pillow stand after all. "You shoulda known better than to start a pillow fight with me."

"Duly noted!" Kate laughed, shaking her head. She would definitely make sure to remember that one for the future. Despite their deep friendship and loyalty, she knew she'd need a little firepower to shoot back at her at some point later on. It always helped to have a little something on America Chavez, even if it was just a slight teasing.

Kate let out a squeal as she took the brunt of the pillow to her side, laughing as she grabbed another one and, this time, purposefully tossed it at her. She definitely didn't have her strength, but her accuracy was enough to get her in the face again. She laughed, jumping on top of one of the beds to grab more ammo. "Look, we know how this is gonna end Chavez." She held a pillow up, ready to throw if need be. "We're gonna keep going until one of us gets hurt and then the other will pout and then the other will try and make it better with food, which the other will then relent to. Are you sure you feel up to the task?" She grinned, determined to not be the sad loser in this battle.

America laughed when Kate threw a pillow back at her, this time America knew it was on purpose as she gathered up a couple of pillows herself standing on the bed and holding a pillow high ready to throw it at Kate the second she made a move while she explained how she saw all of this going down.

"Oh trust me, we both know exactly how this is gonna end." America agreed with a smirk, "It's all a matter of when you want to go ahead and surrender." She threw another pillow back at Kate laughing, still holding back her powers, because yeah she could definitely hurt Kate if it came down to it - but a pillow fight? That was hardly an excuse to bring out the super strength.

"How bout it Bishop? You give?" She bounced a little on the balls of her feet as she stood on the bed a grin on her face having proper fun for the first time since she'd ended up stuck there in America 2.0.

Another squeal as Kate dodged America's throw, a look of stunned surprise on her face. "Here I was trying to give you a peace treaty and you throw it in my face!" She threw another pillow at America's chest, putting a little more force into it. She knew that no matter how hard she might try and throw this semi-dense cloud, it would never do any real harm at her partner in crime. Still, it was the principle of the matter!

"Ha! Surrender isn't in my vocabulary!" Alright, a little corny, but then again, she was having a pillow fight with her best friend. Who said there were rules to these sorts of things? "You'll have to do better than that Chavez!" She grinned and ducked behind one of the beds, but not before tossing another, smaller pillow back at America. This one had a little more heft to it and she covered her mouth as a laugh burst out when it connected to the side of her head. "I really don't mean to be doing so many headshots!" She thought about it, peeking up over the side of the bed. "Maybe just on two of them!"

"You call that a peace treaty?" America laughed catching the pillow that Kate threw at her. "We're gonna have to work on your peace making skills if that's your idea of trying to settle things diplomatically." She needed this, she realized, just a chance to laugh and have fun and stop thinking so much about what wasn't happening the way she wanted it to and just be in the moment. Sure the truth would come back, she'd be reminded of how stuck they were, but for now they had this and America was all in.

Pillows at least were soft, even with Kate nailing her in the face again and again, she waited for Kate to peer up over the side of the bed before she threw the next one, hard enough to make sure that Kate couldn't dodge this one, "Don't worry I meant to do that," She laughed, jumping down from the bed, half tempted to push it up on it's edge to hide her more from Kate's pillow shots, but decided they shouldn't fully trash the room just yet.

"Come on out Kate, you and I both know that I'm going to win." She teased, encouraging Kate to show herself again.

Kate laughed as America got her good and she took aim again. "I dunno Chavez, I think the odds are pretty evenly stacked at the moment." Kate crawled across the carpet, peeking around the corner of her bed for America. "Surrender now and I'll buy the pizza!" She laughed as she tried to sneak in between the beds to have a better shot at her when she popped back up. At the last minute, she decided for a full scale attack and leapt onto the bed, giving out some sort of bizarre gorilla warfare call. She rained down two pillows on America before she realized that was all the ammo she had. In a desperate act of hopeful destruction, she tackled America to the ground, bumping her elbow on the wall as she went down.

"Owowowowowow." Go figure. Someone would get hurt! "Ahh, I yield, I yield!" She held her elbow, glancing over at America with a sad puppy dog face. "And still no frozen peas!"

Truthfully she was tempted to drop the entire thing when Kate reminded her of pizza but she had a reputation to uphold after all and she wasn't going to give in easily. She laughed when Kate managed to not only sneak out from behind her safety wall of the other bed but also jumped up with two pillows as ammo before she went right in for tackling America.

"Kate!" America laughed when they both went down when she was tackled, but in the end Kate's elbow still managed to find a way to bang into the wall. She sat up, pushing her wild hair from her face and shook her head, "You warned you." She said with a teasing huff of laughter. "You know," America said thoughtfully. "They might not have peas downstairs, but I bet if we called for that pizza you owe me, we can get them to deliver up an ice pack."
