Kate had been ecstatic that America had come back for her to check out the convention. It was certainly a trip, but one that she knew to dress the part for. She had on her purple jumpsuit and, a bit hesitantly, put on her mother's necklace that had randomly appeared on Monday. She had thought it was some kind of sick joke, but how had it gotten here? She had meant to confront Loki about it, but Clint had come all excited like to tell her about the convention and it was easy to forget it.

Her bow and a quiver of arrows were slung across her back; she figured as long as she didn't actually do any archery, they'd be fine and allowed into the convention. She could pass them off as props. "Have you found any yous?" she asked as they stalked the convention floor. It was still the most bizarre thing to walk into, but she couldn't help but glance at all the people milling around, looking at stalls and dressed up. "The first time I saw someone dressed up as me, I think I may have squealed a little too much." She laughed, hooking her arm through America's. It was kinda nice to feel like a celebrity for once. They seemed to be getting a lot of compliments and people who said they "shipped" them, whatever that meant.

Kate's stomach grumbled and she looked over at her friend. "Food? Put a piece of a pizza in my hand and then I'll toootally look the part!"

Her first trip through the door that day had been good, and maybe she could have waited until tomorrow to try again but she didn't want to - there was a hotel over there and a hotel meant rooms and beds and room service and there was only one person in the world who she'd share that with and she was back in town. So she'd come back just long enough to grab Kate and let her get changed before they were back through the door again and into the convention once more.

"I thought I saw one earlier," America said when Kate asked about people dressed up as her, it was strange enough having been recognized - sure people knew who she was and she didn't have a real costume, but it was still weird. It almost reminded her of Imani on Maltixa, but a little less hero worship and a little more just enjoying her look. Which was kind of cool and kind of weird if she was being honest. She wasn't sure about this shipping thing, but well she was too relieved not to have ended up in Mordor again to worry too much about that.

"I think we can do something about that pizza, Princess." America grinned, "Come on," With Kate's arm through hers they moved easily through the crowds until they were out of the main convention area. "What do you think about getting a room? We can spend the night in a real bed, take a shower, order some room service?"

"My hero," Kate cooed before laughing, following her lead off the convention floor. "Wait, can we do that?" Kate had never thought about trying to spend the night in a place through the door, but maybe that was just it...had anyone tried to stay away from the village? To be fair, the couple times Kate had been through the door, she hadn't had an excuse to want to stay. But this...this she could get used to.

"Nothing weird has happened to you here, as it? I mean...other than these people dressing up like us." There always seemed to be some kinda weirdness that hung around even the most normal of places. She didn't want to get too comfortable to only be attacked by the appliances or something.

Then again, a real bed, a shower. Those were all tempting things. It wasn't until America said 'room service' that she was really in. "Do you think they have a spa here? This seems a fancy enough hotel to have a spa, right?" It was easy to fall into old habits when the amenities were at your disposal.
