Who: Carol Danvers and Peter Parker
What: Showers, Beer, and Singing!
Where: A random convention somewhere
When: Wednesday evening
Rating:Lowish? Maybe swearing?

Carol had been itching to go exploring through the doors for days now, but there had definitely been some hesitancy since talking to Tony about what might be on the other side. From what she'd seen over the communicator, it looked like people were coming and going freely from the same strange place. Whatever this "convention" was, there was plenty to report back. And she had to admit it, curiosity was getting the better of her.

She was dressed down for this, electing to leave her uniform at home. Even if she ran into trouble, she figured she could handle it. Unless there was a sudden alien attack or something. What were the odds? Right?

Carol didn't hesitate much, opening the door and stepping into...well, what was this place? It was clearly a large overly lit and crowded convention hall, but Carol wasn't really ready for just how big it all was. She was used to the idea that comic "conventions" were just something very geeky people did in dingy and dark comic store basements. This was entirely different. All around her people were wearing costumes, t-shirts with the faces of superheroes on them, and...wait, was that Rogers? No. Just some 17-year-old acne-ridden kid in some serious cosplay.

It reminded her too much of Los Angeles.

"Okay, maybe this wasn't a great idea..." She was considering going back through the door when something caught her eye. A comic book stand with a familiar looking face drawn on a large vinyl banner. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me..." Tony was right. Carol was pretty sure that it was the older version of him drawn on the banner and as she came closer, she saw various comic books ranging from "Iron Man" to "Thor". Curiously, she reached for an Avengers comic to start flipping through it, smirking when she realized that whatever this place was, it was definitely nothing she'd seen before.

Carol had gone straight to the hall to start gathering what they needed. She noted the cards and nodded in approval, the alcohol starting to clear out of her system. She knew all of this was a bad idea, but at the same time, it was too late to turn back now. "Yeah, just let me finish here." She was securing a very long extension cord, using a bit of her photon power to melt the plastic just enough to the convention floor. It was a temporary fix, but hopefully, it would allow them to jumpstart Stark's system back home. Near Carol was a box filled with various things she'd gathered from the convention including some hanging lights and other odds and ends (mostly comics, action figures, and a Captain America plushy she thought was hilarious).

"Ready?" She picked up the box in one arm and had the extension cord in the other, nodding for him to go for the door just as security started shouting at them. "Now or never?" She quickly followed him onto the other side of the door, closing it after they were through and making sure there was enough room for the cord. Hopefully, the others couldn't get through.

After some awkward shouts and bangs, there was silence. And Carol grinned and looked at Peter. "Think they're mad?"

Carol was on the ball she'd gathered up everything she could so by the time Peter met up with her they were ready to go back through the door together, "Yes, yes, definitely now." He agreed nodding nerves coursing through him like it was his first night out all over again, and in a certain way it was - theft was a little outside his skill set but he thought maybe this was okay, there were extenuating circumstances after all.

Peter hadn't been totally sure whether or not they could be followed back through, the banging on the door made him think maybe but then it just stopped and he felt himself slump in relief. "I think they didn't count on actual super people coming to the convention." He said with a laugh.

"Oh my god, I've never done anything like that before." But he supposed it was a little like what Kate and Clint had done to get their espresso machine, it was how they were going to make life livable for the time they were stuck here. And he hadn't hurt anyone, not really so you know it all evened out in the wash.

"This is - man." He shook his head feeling a little less drunk and a little more high on the adrenaline that came from a night out like this. He'd missed this in the months that he'd let his life fall apart, since he thought he'd gotten too old to be Spider-Man. He could still do this. Even when he wasn't using his powers for theft. "We made a pretty good team."

Carol made a face. This was totally not like her, either, but there was the alcohol and desperation. Mostly the alcohol. She would probably feel horrible about it later, but nobody had gotten hurt! Except for the barkeep she hit. And some relatively minor property damage. "Better to beg for forgiveness than ask, right?" Okay, even she didn't buy that.

"Just don't tell Steve where we got this stuff. We'll never hear the end of it."

She stared at their haul and sighed. Yeah, they might have gone a little overboard. Reaching up to scratch her neck, she considered then looked at Peter. "So....if we were going to make a bar...where should we set it up?"

Peter's eyes went wide when Carol mentioned Steve, yeah they were definitely never telling Steve what they'd done - sure he wasn't an idiot and he could probably sort it out for himself, but well there was no reason for either of them to confess to Steve that they'd gotten drunk and decided robbing a hotel bar was the next logical step. "Yeah, no, no one needs to hear the story of our amazing adventure." He agreed.

Looking at it all now it was more than a little insane what they'd done but he was proud about it too in a little way, not only had he gone through the portal despite his doubts about it all, but he'd managed to get back with all of this.

"I know just the place," Peter declared with a wide grin, "Follow me," He tilted his head to one side and began pushing his cart toward the little building he'd claimed when he'd started building his pizza oven. "How about this?" He asked holding his hands wide showing off his sort of masterpiece - sure it was just an empty building with a hand built stone oven outside, but you know it was the start of something, he had vision. "What goes better with a bar than pizza?"

"Unless you get drunk and blab", she reasoned. "But you won't do that. Because you know I'd have to kill you." Her face was very serious when she said it and she gathered up the rest of the stuff to follow him to his perfect spot.

Carol was honestly impressed. It was definitely the start to something. She looked around the area, clearly thinking about what they could do here. "We're going to have to build a bar. Get some barstools, tables, chairs...but it will do." She had left the remaining extension cord by the door, but for how this was a good place to store what they'd taken.

She set down the box and nodded over her shoulder. "I should probably start hooking up power to Stark's system." With the alcohol out, but adrenaline still pumping, Carol knew she wasn't going to be able to sleep tonight. Plus, no idea how long they still had a connection to that power source.

"You're so murderous," Peter said laughing despite the serious look on Carol's face as she warned him against telling anyone where they'd gotten their stuff from. "Anyone ever tell you, you need a better way to work out your aggression?" He was teasing, his tone amused and playful as they talked leading the way to what could potentially be the bar.

"Yeah, it'll need some work before we can make it all official but I think it could fit the bill." He agreed as Carol listed out the things they'd need to make it into a real bar, cause yeah it was just an empty shell right now, not at all like the bar they'd been in earlier that evening.

"So I guess you do that, I'll get to work on getting things together for the bar?" He suggested, if he was more sober he'd have offered to help with the power source getting it connected and running, but it was something Tony was working on and well he didn't fully trust himself not to mess it up in the state he was in right now.

"We can make an announcement after we get everything together? Let people know?"

"I'm not murderous, I just happen to know what works with people. And most of the time, I don't have to follow through." Most of the time. She just grinned. "I used to spar when I needed to get any aggression out....but let's just say I haven't had an equal match in a while." She wasn't complaining, though. Usually, she had enough bad guys to handle that it wasn't a problem. But here, she was just sort of sitting on her hands and the tension had been building.

Carol nodded as she looked at the spot. She could definitely see it. "We can probably ask around. Jan's resourceful, right? She could probably get a few things." Not sure if she should be telling anyone exactly what they were up to, yet. Maybe after the door changed again. Just in case someone might try to make them put the stuff back.

"Yeah...sounds good." She paused and looked around. "How does Pancho's sound?"

"And you looked at me and said, ah yes - that Peter Parker. He's the kind of guy who I can threaten with death occasionally and he'll do whatever I ask?" He wondered, amused at the very idea - all things considered death was the sort of thing any of them in the heroing business had looked down the barrel of several times already so it hardly seemed like the right kind of threat. "I'd offer, but I think you and I both know I'm not an equal match for you," It didn't bother him though, in fact it maybe made him like him more? Knowing she could kick his ass whenever she wanted. Look Peter was a man who could appreciate a strong woman, it was just how he'd been raised. "Maybe Cap?" He suggested after a moment thinking about who here might do better against her if she wanted to spar.

He nodded, "Yeah, yeah we'll keep it on the down low for a little while." After all they would still be getting things together for a little while, the convention had been good for most of the basics but they'd need more than that if they were going to open a bar. So hopefully the door gave way to some other locations soon, either that or maybe someone here had some serious carpentry skills and could build the furniture they needed. He wasn't sure if that was true, but he could hold out hope. Until they found what they needed through other means.

Considering the name she suggested for a moment, Peter decided it was as good as any, and probably miles better than anything he'd have come up with on his own. "Sure, I think that'd work."

"It worked, didn't it?" She was smiling as she said it. Clearly, Carol lived to get under people's skin. Well, the people she liked, anyway.

When he suggested Rogers, she almost scoffed. At first. The more she considered it, though, the more it made sense. "Maybe. I'll be honest....I used to lose a lot of matches." She almost hated to admit that. "I mean, without using my powers. I've been told I have a tendency to be too emotional." She hated that saying. Guys had loved to use that against her when she was training to be a pilot. But for her, maybe they were just a little bit right?

She'd still really love to kick their asses, though.

"Good." He was glad she accepted the name. It was the easiest thing she could come up with, and she really didn't want to have to explain it at the moment. "I should go get that generator working." She wasn't really looking forward to that one so much. She was tired and it was probably going to take til morning to actually charge it enough to work. But, now that she had ready access to a power source via the cord, she could probably boost it a little with her own powers. Yeah, shouldn't be too bad.
