Sure, Tony would know. He was pretty great at getting whatever he wanted wherever he went -- and had been more than glad to realize his money worked here plenty fine. So it wasn't just a few dollars he was going to be throwing around. Then again, he hadn't ever had to try buying comforters from a hotel before.
Before now, that wouldn't have seemed like the height of luxury, either. Times had apparently changed. "Yeah yeah, we'll slip them a twenty and raid the place," he said with a smile of his own before taking the offered tiny bottle of booze. It wasn't even hard. He felt comfortable here with Steve in this room -- even if Steve was naked beside one towel. But then, Tony had plans to be soon too. The convention was fine, but the Jacuzzi tub was what really mattered here.
"Cheers," he murmured before taking a quick swallow. "And ... yeah. I get that." Because for as much as Tony knew he ought to want to go home, to try and make right of everything he'd done wrong... well. There was definitely something that rang true to Steve's words, too. Something compelling about the place, even though it was too quiet, too sparse, too lacking in what Tony usually loved. But there were things he did like, and even here in this hotel --
Steve was a part of it. And the easy comfort they had, that he knew wouldn't be found back home. "Do you think it's selfish?" He asked, but meant more for himself than for Steve.
