WHERE: Near the center of town
WHEN: April 1
So things were not ... looking all that great. Sure Five had a plan, but was it a plan that would work? That wasn't even something that Five could say, but what else was there? Stay where they were and just let it happen? Or try and change it? Okay yeah maybe Klaus would have chosen to stay if it was just him, but the thing was it wasn't just him. It hadn't been just him for years. So they did it.
Or maybe they'd died trying, it was hard to say, the line was a little blurry there.
"Daddy?" He sat up with a start, his hands empty when not long ago they had been anything but, part of him expected to find Reginald standing over him ready to continue their talk from earlier. But there was no one else around. There had been a lot of turbulence though, the world ending and all that.
"Five!" He shouted, looking around for his littlest big brother, and then his biggest little brother, "Luther!", finally "Diego! Allison?! Vanya?" His tone a little less sure and a little more seeking with each name he called out. He frowned.
"Well that's weird, have you seen any of them?" He turned to where Ben ought to have been, his constant companion through the best of times and the worst of times. Only where Ben ought to have been there was nothing but empty space. "Come on, you're not out here trying to blame me for all this, did you see what we just did? You should be jumping up and down with me right now! I don't care that the world was ending!" Maybe he sounded a little like a petulant child, but well that was sort of his brand.
"Come on, is this because I said I didn't want to spend time with you? That was practically two years ago. Ben! Where are you!" The where he was all seemed so much less important than where his family had gone, he could deal with the rest of them not being where he could see them but Ben - Ben was a part of him. And something was very very wrong.
