"Ouch." Kate placed a hand over her heart. "You may have well have let that thing fly with what you just said." Brutal man. But then again, she tried to think about someone approaching her, claiming to know her as well. She'd be on her guard. Probably. Unless they brought donuts. Then she'd be their best friend.
But that was neither here nor there! She studied the man in front of her, crossing her arms and jutting her hip out a bit. "A universe where we're not together is tragic," she said, shaking her head. "But I'm like...your partner in crime." Alright, so ward might have been a better term and a bit funnier, but she wasn't about to admit that to the man! She was sure there would be time enough to fill him in on all the blank spaces.
"So I promise not to hurt you if you can just spot pointing that at me." She nodded towards his bow. "We both know you're quick enough to get me even if I did try."
