WHO: Everyone who wants to drown their sorrows or something
WHAT: Getting drunk about it
WHERE: The Spider-Web
WHEN: Today

Sure waking up to find that he was for some reason attached to a wizard nearly half his age hadn't been on the top ten best ways to start his day list that Peter most certainly did not keep somewhere in the back of his mind, it hadn't actually been on the top ten worst ways to start his day list either. So that was something to consider. Not that it made it any easier to deal with knowing that for some strange reason he found himself tethered to Sirius, things had gotten very strange very quickly, and considering his history with strange well - Peter thought he was handling the whole thing admirably.

Tonight though, well they were at the bar, because even tied together like this people still needed to eat and Peter wasn't about to just throw all of this away because he was mildly inconvenienced. So he was doing his best, passing out drinks and making food and hoping that at the very least, they could all just spend a little time there that evening and pretend like things weren't entirely fucked.

"Nothing like a couple of drinks and something good to eat to at least help make you feel like things aren't quite as bad as they might seem." And certainly he'd lucked out he thought, but like John had said, things could always be worse.

Remus | Sirius

Remus was a sad, sad pup. He knew that there was nothing to be done about the situation but that hadn't meant he'd given up trying to separate Sirius and Peter through magic. It seemed, whatever powers that be had locked them together used a magic that not even Remus could unveil and figure out. He knew, just from his observations around town that magic could be very different depending on the source. Loki, was a very different sort of sorcerer than him, Sirius, or Bill. He assumed that the magic Loki possessed was useless against it too, since he apparently was tied to someone as well. If a god couldn't break the spell, Remus was certain he would be incapable of it.

It was really, really difficult to be away from Sirius. Remus wasn't needy, not by any means, but he loved Sirius and he missed sleeping with him at night and having him obnoxiously interrupt his reading by putting his head in his lap to demand pets. He missed him jamming out to music with Gwen. He missed the utterly ridiculous ideas he'd pose to him with no warning or preceding information. Remus missed Sirius.

It was a good thing that the full moon had already happened this month, else Remus would have no choice but to tap into his limited supply of wolfsbane. Granted, if it lasted through the next month he might still need to. But tonight was reserved for drinking. Drinking at the bar because Sirius was there and he could at least be near him. He was wearing that black shirt with the little white stars on it. Silly, ridiculous, but it made him feel better to wear it.

"If I make eyes at you will it get me a drink?" Remus teased, smiling a bit at Sirius.

No amount of magic had fixed their little problem at hand, and that was kind of infuriating, because Sirius and Remus had spent a good deal of time trying to figure it out -- to no avail however, because at the end of every spell, Peter Parker was still there. Not that Sirius disliked Peter -- he didn't. He liked him quite a lot. But at the end of the day, all he really wanted to do was flop on top of Remus and be a nuisance until they were curled up in one another in the best ways possible.

This week was not good for cuddling. Or random thoughts. Or demanding petting or jamming out. It was a nearly Remus free week, and Sirius didn't care for that at all. Even if some of it was a little self imposed because despite the fact that Sirius never seemed to care about things like manners, it did seem very cruel indeed to have Remus over constantly while Peter's people were off with others.

But now that Remus was right here in front of him? Flirting? Well. Sirius leaned over and plucked at his shirt sleeve, the one Sirius liked so well. "You'd get a drink without the eyes, Moony. But you should give it a go, anyhow." Humor was easy. It stopped him from saying wild things. From crawling over the counter into Remus' lap.

It wasn't really in his nature to pout. He was the mature one of their group of friends. The one who looked at situations with logic and reason, and never let himself become irrationally distressed or emotionally incontrollable. He didn't throw tantrums or raise hell. Suffer in silence was far more of Remus Lupin's style. But Sirius wasn't the only one who could pull the whole 'sad puppy eye' look and Remus knew he'd been sporting it lately. He couldn't help it. He was sad and he missed his best mate. His best mate who also happened to be the love of his life.

Soulmates sounded dramatic, but logic be damned, Remus believed that was what they were. Not having that warm body to curl up against at night, not being able to kiss until they fell asleep only to wake up kissing some more was something that was terribly missed. Remus wanted Sirius home, he wanted to be with him in every way possible.

His eyes followed Sirius' hand as he played a bit with his sleeve. It made the wolfish smirk on his lips pull a little higher. Yes, hide the sadness behind the flirty banter. That made it easier. "Mm, well, if you haven't noticed I've been unable to take my eyes off of you all evening. Surely you have; you know how gorgeous you are."

No. it wasn't in Remus' nature to pout -- but Sirius had known him for a good long chunk of his life now - arguably half of it! -- and he knew that even if Remus didn't do something often it didn't mean he wasn't capable of it. And it didn't mean that he didn't do it well.

He should not have thought Remus' sad puppy dog eyes were attractive, but what could he say? He liked his Wolf any way he came, even when it was at a detriment.

But the sharp smiles and smirks were better. And Sirius, as ever, was drawn in closely, leaning forward until he was more on top of the counter than behind it. "Don't talk about me being good looking when you're wearing that shirt," he said with a sniff -- although, honestly, it was a denial of his own looks either. Because Sirius, as ever, was Sirius and that included something of a large ego. "Miss you," he went on, because even if it was obvious, he had to say so.

Remus was rare to admit things like missing Sirius or feeling lonely. He never wanted to get into the habit of putting his feelings on the shoulders of anyone else. Silly as it sounded, he didn't want to worry or burden Sirius with that knowledge, yet at the same time he also felt like telling Sirius how much he missed him would undoubtedly feed his ego, so maybe he ought to fess up to it.

When Sirius leaned over the counter, Remus followed suit and leaned in as well. It brought their foreheads together and he savored the touch. "Miss you more," he whispered, and nudged his beloved's cheek with his nose. "It's too quiet at home without you wreaking havoc out of boredom."

Sirius wouldn't have considered missing someone to be any kind of burden. Maybe a worry, but the kind that also came with warm feelings. Missing someone meant you liked being around them. Loved them. And Sirius knew without a doubt that Remus loved him, of course, but that didn't mean he didn't like hearing about it as often as possible.

Yes, okay, it was a little bit of an ego trip. "Is it a competition?" He asked, also pitching his tone low because that was what Remus was doing. He poked their noses together, flirty but mostly innocent. "When I return home from the war, I shall wreak havoc even when I'm not bored in order to make up for this."

Remus loved being around Sirius and always had. Sirius had done so much for Remus over the course of their lives, but even without all of that, if they were just two average Muggles, Remus would still love him just the same. It was because Sirius was who he was, and Remus loved him with all his heart and soul. He tried to show it even when he wasn't saying it, and he hoped with every fiber of his being that not a second passed where Sirius wasn't certain of just how loved he was.

"That sounds like quite the lofty goal, but I have confidence in you that you will be able to achieve it," he said, grinning as he bumped noses with him again. It was quite innocent, with just a hint of mischief and a dash of flirtation. Maybe even a bit naughty, given the grinning that was accompanying it, but that was only for Sirius to see. Reluctantly, he pulled back just enough to look at Sirius properly again. "You look quite at home behind the bar, though. Are you looking to get a proper job then?"

Sirius wasn't oblivious to how much Remus loved him, not at all. It wasn't any kind of secret. Even when he was having a bad day, that was the one thing that Sirius never doubted. It was nice, to have something that sure and certain. He hoped Remus was aware it went the same way for him.

Sirius was pretty sure it he was, though.

"Mischief'll be managed," Sirius said with a laugh -- fuck, he loved when Remus got a bit bad. It was sexy, and also just enthralling because he spent so much time pretending to be well behaved. If only everyone else knew how many pranks and plots had been if not thought up by, then at least refined by Remus Lupin.

"Do I?" He asked, glancing behind them. "It is a bit fun. For, you know, menial tasks. But I can't believe how he's got to do dishes every day without magic."

Sirius need not worry. Remus knew that he loved him, and never called that into question. He'd probably only start to worry about it if Sirius ever stopped pestering him or seeking out head scratches. When Sirius stopped wanting his attention, then Remus would know there was a problem. As it was, Sirius seemed very into his attention, and Remus loved to give it even when he tried (usually failed) not to be obvious about it.

There was a reason Remus Lupin was a Marauder. He was most definitely the voice of reason among the group but certainly not a wet blanket. Remus was just as mischievous and 'bad' as the rest of Sirius and James but he had a more subtle way of showing it. In this case, little nuzzles and bumps of his nose against Sirius' jaw, and toothy grins.

"Sounds terribly primitive, doesn't it?" As one who came from a half-blood lineage it wasn't so foreign to Remus but he too had gotten used to just letting magic do most of mundane tasks when it came to household chores. He still found a bit of satisfaction over cleaning some things himself. "Perhaps then, you're precisely the help he needs." He let his fingers trail a little across one of Sirius' forearms. It was going to be torturous as hell to separate from him tonight.

Well, lucky for the both of them, Sirius would undoubtedly never stop wanting attention from Remus. There was no possible way it would ever come to that. Hell, even right now Sirius sort of fancied the idea of crawling over the counter and into Remus' lap, demanding further attention. Would he? Probably not, if only because Remus wasn't the sort to want that kind of public scene. But he still considered it.

"You might have a point," Sirius said, tipping his head slightly to the side, like he was thinking about it. But he'd probably make something regular of this, if only because it was sort of fun. Plus it'd give him reasons to bring already cooked food home to Remus later at night. He tipped his hand over, palm up for Remus. "I miss you," he said again, a little more serious.

Truth be told, though he wasn't the most forthcoming with affection in public, Remus wouldn't have been overly opposed to it right now. He missed Sirius so much and was lacking in having those physical exchanges to the point that he wouldn't make much of a fuss if Sirius chose to make a scene. He might scoff a bit at first but would happily give into it if it afforded them a few moments of physical affection. They'd make up for it; Remus would never run out of his affections for Sirius, that was for certain.

His long, slender fingers traced along Sirius' arm, and along the lines of his palm. A little smile tugged at his lips once more. Remus hated that Sirius was in any position to have to miss him, but, it did sort of feel good to know he was missed. He heard the more solemn tone in his beloved's voice and it made his expression soften, while his fingers laced with Sirius' in a gentle hold. "Darling, I've missed you so," he echoed softly. He leaned in again to brush their cheeks together, more of a nuzzle, more of how Moony would undoubtedly regard Padfoot. "I love you," he whispered.

The nuzzle wasn't so out of the ordinary -- no matter what form either of them were in, Remus was still his wolf, and the wolf was his Remus. Sirius loved him either way. He made a snuffling sort of noise and then surged up on his tip toes to press a kiss to the tip of Remus' nose. Maybe a little loudly.

He couldn't do sad and pining for very long. Particularly not in public. When they got to be themselves again - alone and unencumbered by others -- well. That's when Sirius would get soppy about it.

"You too. Now then, I believe you asked for a drink? Moony gets what Moony wants."
