The halls were decked. Balls were out. Whatever. Richie had tried decorating to his best ability, which had been slightly hampered by his lack of know how — years and years as a live-alone bachelor didn’t tend to make a guy decorate his house much — and by the lack of a general store in which to get decorations. Still, those doors had come in clutch, for the most part. There was a little fake tree (and some presents underneath, even!) and plenty of strung up lights and Richie had made sure to put mistletoe in literally every doorway because he was a chaotic monster on a goddamned mission, okay.

As promised there were drinks. And snacks. And chicken tenders (well made by Beverly) and Mac and Cheese (not quite as well made by Richie, but he’d tried and therefore no one could criticize him) and some other holiday stuff.

But the dance party was the appeal here and Richie, with his absurd amount of records and even more now that he’d gotten some for Christmas, was fucking ready with a stack curated specifically for the holiday. And, of course, with Stan in mind too.

Christmas in Hollis was blaring, he somehow had two drinks in hand, and Rich was fucking ready for whatever the night was going to bring.

"Not so strict. But that's a Losers only sort of affair right there." And when Richie said Losers, he mostly just meant him and Eddie. That was there spot, and neither of them needed anyone else defiling it somehow. Richie wasn't a stingy guy, but some things were just his, that was all.

"Huh," he said of the blenders -- he figured it was the sort of thing you just had to be there for, but funny enough. "You got anymore?" Maybe Eddie would like one. For smoothies or something.

"Beer," he agreed, opening up the fridge to pull one out and twist off the cap before handing it over. "Cheers, matey mate."

Nyx raised his hands defensively. "Fair enough." He laughed. Not that he was eager to hijack a hammock. They were infamously uncomfortable and he wasn't eager to test that theory further. Richie and the whole Loser club could keep the hammock. It wasn't what he was here for anyway.

Blinking at Richie, Nyx had to think for a moment. "I.." He stopped to consider. "I don't know.." Initially he got the blenders for the couple places that served food or drinks. But, did he have any more. "I might. If I do, I'll get one over to you." Nyx promised.

Taking the beer, he took a drink from it. "Yup. That's good." He was happy to report. Nothing like the beer of home, but, beggars couldn't be choosers. "How are you taking the place? Getting comfortable enough?" Nyx asked setting his drink down for a moment.

Wrong, that hammock was infamously prefect in every single way. It was basically Richie's favorite place, and even though he was probably a little too old for it, he even liked sleeping in it, sometimes.

He shrugged over the blender and gave a little smile that said he'd be grateful, but no big deal if there wasn't one. What a complicated smile. Particularly for a person who talked a lot. So he said it, too. "No biggie, dude. If you've got one, cool. If not, cool."

Beer. Yeah, that was always a winner. Richie wasn't wildly picky when it came to liquor, but beer was a solid standby. "Y'know," he said thoughtfully. "It was a little rough to start." Because most everyone was aware of Richie's Not So Great First Day Run In. "But it's gotten better. I dig it." Did he miss where he'd come from? Sometimes. But generally only the random conveniences.

It was official. Nyx was getting this man a blender. He was just so lowkey and deserved nice things. Well to be fair, Nyx thought most of the town deserved nice things and to be cared for. This was really his new family, and Nyx absolutely like providing what he could for everyone here. Like For Eddie and Stan a projector that Nyx had no idea how to operate. They'd probably recruit one of the Tony's for help. That's what he'd do.

Nyx chuckled. The infamous first day, where Richie got his ass kicked. Yes, it was safe to say that the town knew of that day, and the kid who provided the welcoming was well, a tad on the hot side of the temper wheel. Nyx only particularly encountered him during the children days in town. "Well, it happens. Some arriving is rougher than others." Nyx shrugged. "But you're stable, you got some of our people here, and it's almost home I'm sure." Nyx drank the beer. At least he had Lunafreya here. That made things all the more tolerable for him, being in this place.
