WHO: Leia Organa & Eddie Kaspbrak
WHAT: A Hallmark film experience, surprise royalty!
WHERE: Cute smalltown USA.
WHEN: During Christmas plottimes.

It wasn’t as if Princess Leia didn’t have so much to be grateful for, and she knew that she was so fortunate to have all she did; to want for nothing, and be surrounded by a loving family, a family who also just happened to be the Royal Family, of a Kingdom tucked away in beautiful European country, the Kingdom of Pavlovia. As Crown Princess, and next in line for the throne, much was expected of the young noble and Leia had been raised with the finest education in all things to ensure she was prepared.

Her country was small, the city still with many buildings that had stood since medieval times - but of course, it had adapted in time to modern times and trappings too, in short a picturesque and thriving country to live in. Even so Leia longed to travel and explore much further than her country, and those that surrounded it. She loved Pavlovia and it’s people with all her heart, but there was so much world out there, and she wanted to see it. In particular? The United States of America! Whilst the bustling tall cities with their magnificent skyscrapers would have been an incredible novelty for her to see, Leia just wanted a taste of the cozy, friendly towns she’d seen in her very favourite American films.

What’s more she would very soon be expected to take her place as Queen and in doing so, (a fact she was not at all happy about) accept marriage along with it, to a Prince. Centuries old tradition dictated such; of course and if she was to keep her title and ensure the security of her future and that of Pavlovia, she would have to be wed, worse to someone who would likely be a complete stranger. So, to give her a little freedom, her parents had agreed to allow her to take the holiday of her dreams, but only for two weeks and she would return, to prepare for what came ahead.

She arrived, in the small, snow blanketed American town and settled in at a charming Bed & Breakfast. She had minders, of course and staff - but on this day, she had wrangled a little space from them for just a few hours, a day if she could manage it - and had slipped out to find a quaint looking cafe of sorts that had the wonderful aromas of fresh, hot coffee and warm, homemade sweet pies. How glorious, she inhaled the wonderful smells and wandered over to the padded seating along the counter, wondering if she ought to just take a seat.

Eddie and his mother had lived in this small town for as long as he could remember. He knew next to nothing about his father having only been told time and time again that there were various reasons why his mother and the man he only had the vaguest memories of couldn't be together. He never dared to go into more detail. As the years went by he felt as if he didn't really have to. His mother was wonderful and the small town they lived in was more than he could've asked for. He loved his mother, he loved his neighbors, and he loved the family business. While Sonia's had started out as a bakery specializing in various pastries (most coming from smaller European countries) the business had expanded to include a coffee bar making it a favored spot for locals to grab a cup of coffee and indulge their sweet tooth a little.

Eddie smiled as he walked into the shop, taking in all the familiar faces. He'd been out personally delivering a few orders for various holiday parties and had left the shop in the capable hands of one of his managers. As he scanned the crowd his eyes landed on a new face. While there had been whispers of someone of some importance staying at the local Bed and Breakfast, Eddie had been too busy to pay attention to gossip. He just knew this young woman was visiting from out of town. He smiled as he made his way over to her. "Hey." He said warmly. "I know who you are." And he didn't stop to think that maybe she had slipped off in secret from somewhere or that that sort of thing might momentarily cause a panic. "You're my first new customer in a year. You may not realize but it's actually incredibly exciting. We don't get very many visitors here."

Already the Princess knew it was going to be almost impossible to choose just one treat from all the wonderful smells surrounding her, plus she was starving! Leia eased herself into a seat, whilst still staring at some of the baked treats available, surprised to see some familiarity to the pasties too. What was the likelihood of that?

At first, Leia was perfectly gracious in being greeted warmly by the local; until his words regarding her identity followed and the rising fear in her expression was immediately evident, her hazel eyes going slightly wide as she feared the news had reached the town more rapidly than she’d thought, given the remoteness of her country and all attempts for her to go incognito, enjoying the town as a stranger had now been ruined.

Then he followed through with a witty observation and Leia nearly laughed with the relief of realising she was quite safe, and able to go on simply being a visitor - it was enough to make her smile broadly. “You’ve got me-” her attitude suddenly breezy, with a flare of a mock sort of guilt, it being far too easy to turn to amusement, now that she wasn’t in silent state of panic. “It’s an honour.” Incredible how the accent of a small, European town, sounded remarkably identical to a upper class English accent, though her body language wasn’t overly prim and proper. “What a charming establishment-” She complemented with a genuine sense of excitement to be where she was, brightness in her gaze. “And given I have no idea where to start I think I’m in luck, too.” Who better than to help advise her?
