Who: Ineffable husbands
What: There's been an adoption
Where: Their house
When: This evening

The town was running rampant with children, it had taken him a few times seeing them to really notice the difference but he'd seen it. Most of their town's residents had become children, he supposed he and Crowley were spared such a thing, never having actually been children themselves. What they had not been spared though was interaction with the new children, in fact it seemed like they had one or two staying with them now, which was not the worst thing that had ever happened to him, but after Adam he thought their time having some modicum of responsibility over children was over.

They'd had cocoa in the evening and then their new charge had been put to bed, which left him on his own with his very own personal demon. And now that it was just the adults Aziraphale brought out the wine, offering a glass to Crowley as he took a seat nearby.

"I didn't realize you were so eager to be a parent." He said conversationally, like he was just easing them into it, without really being subtle about it at all, as was his way.

Truthfully, this might have been what he was interested in much more than whether or not Crowley was interested in keeping children, which they seemed to have already done so his feelings on the matter were only slightly moot. But the easy weight of Crowley against him, the way they fit together and the thrill of it was well worth the question that had brought it on. And it seemed that they'd both for the moment at least, settled that the girls were interesting and very much worth whatever amount of minor trouble it might be in hosting them as long as they'd like to stay with them.

It was Crowley's dismissal of his magic that was the issue now though. "Children love slight of hand, dear." He said an indignant huff. "You remember Warlock's party, they adored the magic act." He insisted, despite all evidence to the contrary on that day. He was quite certain that it had gone over perfectly. "What is the appeal of real magic in a place with wizards?" But slight of hand? His small magic act? Well he was quite certain that was something special no matter what Crowley said to the contrary.

Still when it was all said and done, he did after a moment, lift a hand to catch the pads of his fingers against Crowley's chin and kissed him, because for all that Crowley might be contrary he was still exactly who he wanted.

Hosting wasn't that hard anyway - there was space plenty, and coming across supplies and food wasn't remarkably difficult for either of them, even if they usually went about it the old fashioned sort of way. Dealing with the occasional bad dream? That wasn't hard either, at least not on a physical level because neither of them technically needed to sleep. Even if Crowley had made a grand hobby out of taking naps, simply because he enjoyed them.

Crowley snorted over the reminder of the party -- how Aziraphale thought that had gone well was beyond him, but it didn't feel worth bringing up just now anyway. The Angel would do as he liked, just like he always had, even when things were a bad idea. Really. Crepes in the middle of the French Revolution. "Everyone likes a miracle," he said with a lazy, one shouldered shrug, before he lost interest in the conversation, because kissing was better on levels unexplainable. Because Aziraphale's lips were always so soft and his hands firm and gentle in equal parts and because Crowley loved taking what he was given and then taking even more yet. So he leaned in further to the kiss, front teeth sinking playfully into Aziraphale's bottom lip.

Maybe later they'd have a real conversation about this, but truthfully Aziraphale wasn't entirely certain it was necessary. They were both on the same page by the sounds of it, and anything they might not be entirely together on was so near enough that it hardly mattered. And as for the girls? They were welcome as long as they wanted to stay, whether or not they appreciated his magic or they simply wanted to know someone was there when they woke up from a nightmare in the middle of the night.

And more important than Crowley's slights in regards to his magic was the press of his mouth against Aziraphale's. He hummed a pleased little sound at the press of teeth, the same sort of sound he might have made had he been enjoying something particularly delicious, and he let his fingertips press just a little more firmly against Crowley's hip, only too happy to encourage him to take just as much as he'd like to in this moment.

For a moment Aziraphale was very tempted to make a rather soppy remark regarding miracles and Crowley, but he only just managed to hold it back, instead, he drew his mouth along the sharper line of Crowley's jaw over his skin.

The little noises Aziraphale made when he was doing something he particularly liked drove Crowley absolutely crazy. It was just so endearing, so cute. So absolutely and utterly Aziraphale. And really, there was something that made Crowley feel prideful over that -- that he could get the angel to make noises like that. Or, well. That he pleased him enough for it.

Any kind of soppy comment would have been met with that signature mixture of fond and exasperated that Crowley constantly carried with him -- but it wasn't as if there wasn't time for that later. Right now he was wrapped up in the Angel in other ways. He tilted his head up slightly when the angel traced kisses along his jaw, plucked his sunglasses off and tossed them in the direction of not them. "Shall we practice being quiet?" He asked, clearly a little delighted with the concept of being sneaky.

"Oh," He said softly, like a warm sigh as Crowley removed his sunglasses, letting Aziraphale see him entirely once more - and though he had many times, it never failed to please him to see it once more, Crowley as he was. And like this, pressed close it was exactly what he wanted.

"Yes I think that might be exactly the kind of skill we should practice." Both because of their new guests, they were only young, but so much more because he wanted the excuse to touch, and kiss, and have Crowley exactly as he liked for as long as he liked. And so rather than saying more, hemming and hawing and trading comments as they so often did. He lifted his head once more and pressed his mouth to Crowley's all over again.

Oh, sure, Aziraphale had seen Crowley's eyes plenty of times -- they'd known each other since before the (excellent) invention of sunglasses, after all. But it was rare these days (and these days spanned several centuries now) for Crowley to go without, in public or in private. There were some things he simply didn't like about himself, and there wasn't much fixing that. But Crowley did sort of like that Aziraphale seemed to enjoy it -- enjoy to make that little oh</i> of a noise, like he'd just been given a gift of some kind. It made Crowley feel a little warm all over, starting from the inside.

The children were absolutely an excuse -- a little miracle could have stopped any sort of noise from going anywhere -- but it was more fun this way, more exciting. Crowley had always been fond of living on the edge, after all. He let out a wordless little huff of agreement -- too busy taking all those kisses and then deciding he wanted more -- and settled long fingers on his Angel's jawline only to slide them down further, until he could fiddle with the knot of his bowtie until it was undone.

In truth, it was a gift, to have Crowley like this, open and just as he had been created. It was such a pleasure that Aziraphale couldn't help but recall those first days, when everything was so much simpler and more complicated all at once. It was better like this, removed from all of that, where he could simply look his fill and enjoy each and every part of Crowley for the gift it was.

There was something particularly nice about doing things like this, without the help of miracles. Whether it was keeping quiet enough not to wake the girls, or Crowley's fingers along his jaw and then at his bow tie pulling it from it's neat and tidy knot. And Aziraphale pressed his fingers just a little more firmly against Crowley, where he held on to him at his hip as if he might be able to urge him even a little bit closer than they were already.

"Crowley," He said it softly, for all that they might attempt quiet - silence was not exactly something that Aziraphale relished, at least not at moments like this, not when Crowley made him want more simply by looking at him like that and touching him so simply. To think he'd spent so long trying to keep something like this from happening, it was almost unthinkable.

Crowley liked -- no. Loved. He loved -- that firm press to his hips. It wasn't like he wasn't aware Aziraphale was here, and that he finally (finally) wanted the same things that Crowley had been day dreaming about for the better part of a few centuries, but it was nice to have that reminder all the same. So he shifted again, somehow closer yet until his hips and stomach were flush against Aziraphale, until they were more connected by touch than not. And oh, it did things for Crowley. Big, important things. He sighed out his pleasure against his Angel's lips, took another taste from his mouth in a sweet kiss and pulled free that bowtie, letting it join the floor with his sunglasses. Or maybe not with them, but nearer them than the two of them were.

"Mm?" He asked in response to his name, even though he knew it wasn't really going to be any kind of request, or question that came from Aziraphale - his name had been more of a statement than anything. And he liked that too. wanted more of it, more of everything that was on offer. He'd always been a little greedy, always wanted more than was right in front of him. This was no different. "Tell me what you want," he breathed out, because that was Crowley's most favorite of past times -- giving things to his Angel whenever he asked for something.

Aziraphale was no stranger to wanting, it had been how he'd spent the majority of his time on Earth truth be told. Which might not have been the actual point of it all, but he hadn't really been able to stop himself. Oh there were certain things he could avoid, certain things he chose not to look at too closely, particularly those things where a certain Demon was involved, but anything else? Well he indulged as often as he could. But this - this was a different kind of want it sat hot in the pit of his stomach and it felt like it might never truly be sated, there would just be moments when perhaps the need was not quite so great. But here? In this moment, with Crowley pressed as closely as he was, the heat of his mouth still lingering on Aziraphale's lips? He wanted so very much.

To put that into words though? Now that proved more difficult. Crowley was not something on a menu, nothing to pick and choose from, but he was something - someone, that Aziraphale wanted to savor again and again. "You," He said at first, though he was nearly certain of the reaction that would receive and tried a second time almost immediately after. "I want to touch you." He paused for a moment, "Without... without all of this." There had been barriers between them for so long, some of their own making, some simply because of who and what they were, but here there was no need for any of that and Aziraphale wanted all of it gone, in this moment he wanted every bit of Crowley he could have. And then he would want him all over again of that much he was certain. It felt impossible that there might come a time when this wanting stopped.
