Who: Nyx Ulric and You (OTA)!
What: Relaxing after dark.
Where: Pancho's.
When: Late Tuesday Night.

Alright. The town was officially overrun with little people. Children of different sizes and ages. Sure some of them were adorable and insanely cute, but then there was the others who were just angst filled hormone machines. It was moments like this, he wanted to apologize to his mother for being an asshole. But, Nyx was doing his best at least. He was really aiming to just make it easier for all the kids in town, but it was a ton of work. Worth it though.

Sitting at one of the tables in the bar, Nyx found himself nursing already his second beer while trying to figure out his next day. He was banking on some of his previous experiences from Glaive life to feed this army of children. Things that were easy to make in bulk. Carefully, Nyx organized his menu for the next day and thought to what complaints he might receive also, because no one was just happy eating a meal. Always one sideways comment some where.

I can feed myself. What a ridiculous statement. Nyx was aware.

Sighing, Nyx took a swallow from the beer and glanced over his boots at the person who came through the door. What time was it? Kicking his own feet of the table he looked to the person coming in. "What can I do for you?" Nyx asked standing to his feet, slapping that coy boyish smile across his face.

"I come in here sometimes!" Tony said, pretending at being affronted. It was true though, he did show up now and again. Not a lot, because Tony wasn't actually that much of a social drinker, but now and again he showed up for a few and the noise along with it. He couldn't quite remember if Nyx had been around yet when the bar originally opened. That'd been a wild night and Tony hadn't proved himself a very stable person at the time.

"They will be fine," Tony agreed. And he pretty much believed that to be true. It was just a matter of time. He could be patient if he had to. Which he did. It was fine, at least Gwen was nothing but a delight. Anyway, no one needed to be making a sorrow competition of it -- they both needed it for different (although similar) reasons.

"Me?" He asked, eyebrows raising. "I normally eat -- uh. I eat. Sometimes. Never mind, you. Go make steaks."

There was a laugh from Nyx while his admitting defeat on the food fight. Standing he took the glass he had of the liquor he just helped provide for their fearless leader. "Come." He beckoned politely with a wave and sip of his drink heading right to the kitchen that had become his new home for the time being. Once in the kitchen, Nyx went and retrieved the steaks. Now, Nyx being the simple man and these cuts being similar to those of some beasts back home, he salted and peppered the meat just to lightly rub it in.

"How do you like yours done?" Nyx asked while splashing a bit of oil into the pan to eat. Sure there were countless ways to make their food, but tonight was going to be a light and easy pan fried.

With one hand gripping the glass, his eyes remained on the food being prepared. "So, I know it was a topic brought up, but it's getting cooler - what are your thoughts on heating these places." Nyx glanced over to Tony for a moment before back to the food poking the top of the meat with the tongs he hand in hand. "Because I have ideas, but they're all not great and you're a genius here." He half laughed as he flipped both of the steaks before turning to fetch some vegetables to go with it. He had asparagus that the kids of the town promptly turned their nose up - well at least some of them.

Tony followed into the kitchen -- he hadn't been in there for a while now. Not since he'd helped set up some of the equipment. Kitchens weren't really in his comfort zone, but getting the stuff to work had been as easy as anything else. Cooking though? No one should ever trust him with that. Which was why he was lucky that his new bunch of kids were all ridiculously happy with simple things. Even Tony couldn't fuck up a bowl of cereal.

"However you want to make it," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "Beggars can't be choosers. But I don't mind some pink, if you're into that too." It was steak, after all.

He sipped his drink and nodded along with Nyx's conversational lead in. Because it was getting cold, and because they did have to do something about it. "I've been working on that since it was too hot to function this summer," he admitted with a grin. "Heating's easy. I just have to do some work house to house. Takes some time, and I keep -- well. You see how easy it is to get busy here. What was your idea?"

Cooking was easy. So easy in fact he bet Tony could learn it easy enough, and then probably be better at baking. There was a science to baking. Ingredients having to be exact for the baked good to come out. Nyx would say that cooking shined more to the creative side of the spectrum and baking was more to the science. Regardless, Nyx liked cooking in the sense he was okay and he liked feeding people.

"A little pink it is then." Nyx commented while he fired up a second pan for the vegetables that he brought out. "I'd hardly call you a beggar." The chef commented. "More like unwilling participant of my cooking. Unwilling? Forced? Pick your poison really." Nyx laughed starting the next steps.

"Well, none of my ideas were good ones, just ones that would work." Nyx commented. "I wasn't a fan of them, but ready to implement them if need be," He glanced to Tony. "But I had full faith that you already had an idea." Nyx laughed lightly. "Though, I was ready to start finding wood burning stoves or other electric means of heating if it came to that." Though, he wasn't betting on he had to do that. "What do you need to get your plan going? How can I help?"

The thing was, Tony didn't doubt he could learn to cook if he put his mind to it. It didn't look hard and he got that there was science, math and a little art to it. And for the most part, when Tony wanted to figure something out, he did it. He was a genius after all.

Problematically, the few times that he'd attempted bothering with cooking, he'd gotten tremendously bored halfway through and had turned his attentions elsewhere. There had been fires involved. Pepper had been wildly unimpressed. The omelet incident of 2010 was not something he was ever going to be allowed to forget.

"I don't think unwilling or forced really works here," Tony said with a smile. "More like ... irritatingly coerced." He was teasing, of course. Not like it was any kind of hardship to be catered to and fed. Even if it was a little weird, because this was usually the sort of thing Steve would do for him.

"It's just a matter of installation once I get everything printed," Tony said, swishing his drink around his glass. "Getting them in place, hooking them up to the power grid. Maybe making a phone update so it can all be controlled digitally. No reason to keep living in the dark ages."

It felt for Nyx, that he suffered from the idle hands did devils work syndrome. Often if he found himself needing to do something to keep himself busy or he just... had nothing. Nyx really didn't like being alone with his own thoughts dealing with the issues of his own. It was easier dealing with others, than worrying what was wrong with his own head.

And feeding an army of children and teens, and one adult sized Tony. Much easier.

Looking up in thought, Nyx smirked. "I suppose. I'm not exactly stuffing food right into your yap." With a side glance, he flipped the vegetables with a shake and snap of the pan. "Though, I guess I could do that if you really want but it'll get very weird between us very quickly." Nyx half laughed while focusing back at the meal sipping his drink.

"Dark ages." Nyx commented thoughtfully thinking back to Insomnia. Compared to a lot of people in town, his world was bounds behind times in many ways. Sure they had cars, Niflheim had airships, and they had reactors for power - but the stuff either Tony mentioned or showed him were just insane in the future tech scale. Especially regarding space travel. Nyx had only been able to look to the stars from the ground on a good clear day. "Well, you say the word and I will do what I can to help." Nyx poked the steaks with his finger and turned the heat off from the matching burner.

Tony never had idle hands. There was always something he could be making, working on, upgrading. Unfortunately for him he wasn't really happy until he was doing twenty things at once and then stressed about it. Steve was usually good for that -- for getting Tony out of his own head about things. That was one of the reasons this week was so hard, probably. One of them.

"Yeah, let's not about that one. I'll just take what's offered. Anything else goes into a kind of flirtation I'm not ready for," he said with a wink before finishing off his drink and wandering over to the sink to wash his glass out. "I'll let you know," Tony promised. "For now, just make sure I eat some vegetables."

Just as Tony was giving him some shit about flirtation and such, Nyx was grabbing a couple plates and plating their food. "Oh, Tony, you are damn handsome.." He pointed by Tony. "Silverware." Then his finger moved. "Knives." And he spun around with the food leaving the kitchen towards the bar.

Once Tony joined him, Nyx did finish his statement. "But no matter how handsome you might be, you're just not my type sadly." Nyx had set the plates down, which allowed the Glaive to point down to his crotch with a frown. "Too much equipment." Then he smirked presenting the food to his friend. "But, I can make sure you eat your vegetables." With that, Nyx sat down to dip into the meal he had prepared.
