Who: All the town kids who want in
What: Hot Tub Party
Where: Tony's house

This place was great, his dad wasn't around and he didn't have classes or tutors or anything to bother him. And he had a house full of bots and his pokemon, it was quite possibly the coolest place he'd ever been and people were coming over, it was gonna be a party!

Sure he didn't do much in the way of planning but he had his fridge full of cheese and there were drinks everywhere and Dum-E would totally make juice if people wanted it, it seemed to be about all he could do but Tony loved him and he was glad to have him there.

And well .... it was gonna be cool, he'd never had a party before, not with kids his own age so he was ready and he was antsy kind of pacing a little bit while he waited for people to show up. And just when he thought he had it all ready Tony realized there was one thing left he needed and quickly found a piece of paper and some tape scribbling a hasty note and taping it outside on his door.

Come on in! It's party time.
No adults allowed!!!

He was like a total dreamboat, unbuttoning his shirt like some kind of magazine super stud and Claire was not fluttered but not unbothered either. Because the guys on her block were jerks and John had an accent that made her get dreamy around the edges. But there was a fondness there and Claire kind of had to just go with it, like how she went with not letting Peter out of her sight like at all even for five minutes for some unknown reason.

"It's good," she agreed because it was, it was warm where the air was getting cooler and there wasn't any little kids nearby and she took another drag of his cigarette, kind of inhaling because it wasn't her first time or anything and giving it back. Claire never would have done this back home, but Constantine didn't stare in a way that made her wish the ground would swallow her up but also didn't not look in a way that made her feel like she was invisible.

Being a teenager was so hard.

"Wait- do you have like a girlfriend?" Claire asked him, like she was kind of remembering something she thought that she knew.

To be fair, John was kind of a jerk. Just not the way most guys were when it came to girls. He was just -- kind of an asshole in general. He really, really tried only being that way if other people deserved it though -- his life was shitty so he got that probably other people's were too. No reason to make it worse.

Trusting that the water was good, John got on it, taking the cigarette back even as he stepped into the water -- a brilliant sort of hot against the early autumn weather. "Fuck," he allowed, clearly pleased when he found a comfortable and very nearby spot next to Claire.

"Like a girlfriend?" He asked, grinning flirtatiously, even if it felt weird, like he had to consider that question a little harder than he should have had to. He knew he didn't have a girlfriend. "Not even close," he admitted. "Why? Looking to take the spot, love?"

Claire knew jerks, the ones who were too old who hang around looking for attention, players or burnouts or all manor of jerks. But Constantine was different, different like Peter was different and both of them filled her abdomen with fluttering.

He sank into the water and she smiled, nodding along as he swore. It was a bit like that. Also her legs kind of ached, even if she hadn't been running. Maybe she was due a growth spurt soon or something?

Oh and she blushed, right up to her curls she blushed. "I mean maybe, if you're lucky," Claire said though, because she was quick and clever even if he made her a little dreamy eyed.

If she didn't seem quick-witted, Constantine wouldn't have been nearly so interested. It wasn't like he had a particularly hard time finding girls to spend time with. But most of them weren't really the type he wanted to stick around, either.

He took another drag from his cigarette before passing it back to Claire again and sinking down lower in the water. Sure, it was a little too hot but only in the best way.

"Luck's only as good as what you make it, y'know," he said, knocking his knee playfully against hers.
