One of the worst examples of that was the horrible, horrible way he taunted Severus with, "Remember Lily's eyes, Severus?"

OMG yeah. A lot of my anger at Dumbledore has been "learned", i.e., I've had his misdeeds and manipulations pointed out to me when I hadn't really noticed them myself. But that one got an "OMG YOU BASTARD!" out of me right when I read it. It's not even subtle, it's "aha! Now I've got you right where I want you!"
