Sorry, I'd missed what you meant by not wanting to see it a second time. I forget that it was in the memories Severus gave Harry in DH.
That is after Harry finds out that Severus was friends with his mother, though, so that changes the dynamic. It would have been interesting to see how he'd reacted to being presented with that memory again before knowing that Lily and Severus were friends.
Re: GoF, it's just... this is part of who he is when we see him. We don't really see him as an adult.
Anyway... my post was mostly a misunderstanding, I think. I was talking about throughout the books, like mary_j_59, missing the fact that you were really talking about Harry at the end of DH. Sorry about that.
