Better late than never:
We've been discussing the post war years and the WW in September 08 already, but this time, I'd like you to focus on Severus' psychology.
He survived Nagini's attack, what now?
- Does he even want to live or does he resent being rescued?
- Does he feel guilt? If so, how does he deal with it?
- Did he ever learn to accept, to love himself? We see that he developed some sense of altruism over the years, whether JKR wants to admit it or not, does that include himself? Can he love himself/others (apart from Lily)?
- Does he expect anything? Praise? Thanks?
- Is he proud of what he's done? Humble? Numb?
I'm sure you can come up with more questions. Again, we've been discussing what he is likely to do and how the WW would react to him already in the past (but there's no reason not to discuss these aspects again). I want to know how he feels, and how he will manage to live with himself.
A reminder, again: the option to agree to disagree exists. Less aggression, more conversation, please. Just because you're passionate about your argument doesn't mean that it is flawless and that everyone else has to agree. Those who shout loudest aren't right, just loud. Same for those who have the last word.
The March Challenge:
Severus after the War - What does he want, where does he go?
