Use any medium you like, this challenge is not restricted to ArtPad. Try to make it funny, but in this case, sad is just as well.
Sexy is also an option. Or eccentric.

This isn't a contest, we just want to see art, there won't be winners or losers. However, the first three entries (on ij and lj, so that's six) will get a banner.

The Special Challenge will end on Tuesday, September 9th.

Go and pimp it, please. Artistic talent is welcome, but not required. Get creative and have fun.

florence_craye  for choosing my Portus-inspired postcard as the winner of her Vacationing Snape Contest.

 

It has been a bit slow this summer, and I really hoped for an idea to get the creative juices flowing. It seems that we all love Severus, no matter what he does or where he finds himself. I was wondering what Severus would think about our collaborative obsession with him, and how mortified he would be if he ever learned the true extent of his 'life' on the internet.

Which leads me to the topic of the next contest...

For such an intensely private man, it would not take much to make him blush. It might be a slight misunderstanding that turns those cheeks red, an ill-timed visitor, or even a wildly inappropriate gift.

I've wanted to retire from fandom since the publication of Deathly Hallows, and a year after the publication of the book, nearly two years since the start of this community, it is past time for me. I wish the mods tremendous success with future contests, and thank the amazing _vocalion_ for coming up with the wonderful S.N.A.P.E. idea, sylvanawood for starting this community to let lots more people in on the fun, and everyone who entered since snapeartcontest's founding -- you gave us great moments of laughter.

This time of year is holiday or vacation time in many parts of the world. With that in mind, I present to you all the next challenge...

Postcards from Severus!



Where in the world would Snape go?
What sorts of activities would he enjoy? Would he act like a tourist or try to blend in?
What difficulties would he face?
What do wizarding cultures look like abroad?
Would he visit muggle places as well?
What kinds of postcards would he send? (examples here and at my flickr)
