Although communities apparently aren't being included in the current IJ account purge, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ensure this comm's safety with a post.

10/6/08 05:28 pm - [info]ensnarryed - Snape After DH. SNARRY.

PAIRING: HP/SS
SUMMARY: What happens to (Harry and) Snape after Deathly Hallows? How does the Epilogue fall (conveniently) into it? I have written this some time ago, but am sharing this now b/c I just realized that this fits the what-happens-to-Snape-at-the-end-of-canon theme.
COUNT: 961 words.
DISCLAIMER: I am not JKR. I am not Warner Bros. I am making no profit. (Because then I would have to endorse what canon has done to Snape. And I do not approve. So there.)

Author: [info]bohemianspirit
Type: Fiction (Gen, Het)

Notes: Song lyrics from "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues," "Your Song," "Rocket Man," "Someone Saved My Life Tonight," and "Skyline Pigeon" by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Parody lyrics based on Elton's "I'm Still Standing." "Hello, Goodbye," is, of course, by the Beatles.

2/14/08 09:47 am - [info]majmunka - Happy Valentine's Day

I hope no one minds if I give you some new designed virtual Choco-Galleons. (I added photos of the original clay plaque and the silicon mold I made and some rumblings about worries under the cut)
Notes: Rakina, Lilyseyes, I'm so sorry to spoil your surprise. Just can't believe the post is sooo slow :(

1/27/08 03:40 pm - [info]purpleygirl - FIC: The Best of Him [gen, Snape/Lily background] PG-13

Title: The Best of Him
Author: [info]purpleygirl
Type: Fiction, set during DH.
Length: 3700 words
Pairings: Gen, but Snape/Lily in a way
Warnings: Mention of thwarted suicide; minor (original) character torture and death.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Phineas knows where Potter is. Now all Snape has to do is carry out his plan.
Notes: Written for the [info]snape_after_dh fest, prompt the silver doe (believe it or not, despite being a tiny bit late :P). Huge thanks to [info]talloakslady, [info]sigune and [info]klynie1 for their invaluable beta help and for pushing me to rewrite even though I was sick of the damn thing already. Much of the dialogue in the familiar scenes is from DH.
I also want to thank [info]rexluscus for writing and sharing her essay on the doe scene in Chapter 19 of DH (for which the opening quote from DH is included below as a parallel between Snape’s and Harry’s view of the doe). It was about the only thing that cheered me up after the book, and as this story was inspired by it, it owes just about everything to her essay.

Snape had known that his would be a doe

12/11/07 11:25 pm - [info]majmunka - Sculpture - second attempt or starting obsession

It never occured to me before my first attempt but I enjoy modelling Snape immensely. Well, it shouldn't be such a surprise - all that touching, petting, stroking... mmmm....
Quite possibly I would be ended up having a whole collection of Snapes.
I have to admit it's a WIP but I'm not sure it will be finished ever so I decided to introduce him it to you.

Title: Young Snape
Artist: majmunka
Type: Fanart
Pairing: no, just Snape
Warnings: none
Rating: G
A/N: Unburned clay
A/N2: The Nose is different now, not so hooked (he is much younger here), but the mouth... errrr... maybe -just a little bit- pouting again. I swear I tried.

11/12/07 11:52 am - [info]thescarletwoman - [FIC] Severus Snape, The Demon Barber of Fifth Avenue -- Part One (PG-13)

Title: Severus Snape, The Demon Barber of Fifth Avenue; Part One
Author: [info]thescarletwoman
Type: Fiction
Word Count: ~5800
Pairings: Eventual Snape/Lupin
Series: Yes
Warnings: None.
Rating: PG-13 this section
Summary: The hottest hairdresser in the city is Geoffrey Rickers. Geoffrey's past is a closely guarded secret. Yet when a man from his past arrives in New York, he threatens to destroy everything Geoffrey has worked to conceal.
Author's Notes: This is the most fun I've had writing a fic in a long time. It got away from me -- what I had expected to be a short fic began to take on a life of its own. The second part will be coming soon, but I wanted to at least share the first part since it is completed. Thanks to [info]rose_whispers and [info]jateshi for their advise, encouragement, betaing and laughing over funny parts at all hours of the night. Any mistakes left are my own.

11/11/07 07:52 pm - [info]auctasinistra - Nine-tenths of the Law, Part 3

This is Part 3 of ... er ... several parts (yes, this is a WIP)

Title: Nine-Tenths of the Law

Author: Aucta Sinistra

Type: Fiction

Length: Approximately 15,000 words

Pairings: Snape/Harry (with a side order of Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione offscreen)

Warnings: This is an extremely loose interpretation of the prompt, “Snape leaves Harry something that not even Hermione can identify.” Oh – and it’s AU, something I never thought I’d have to say about one of my stories. Also, WIP.

Rating: NC-17

Summary: Um … how about “Snape leaves Harry something that not even Hermione can identify”?

Link goes to my IJ.

Type: Art, digital
Pairings: gen
Warnings: overuse of greasy hair
Series: no
Rating: G
Summary: for the prompt "Severus rebuilds himself....as a hairdresser in NYC (or other big city)" Snape's signature look is all the rage this year... at least in his mind.
Notes: I'm sorry for the lateness of this! I hope my silly art does justice to such a funny concept.

Can Snape keep his customers as happy as his former students? )

11/9/07 02:56 am - [info]sealcat - Fanart: "Sleeping Prince" and "Phoenix"

"Phoenix"

11/7/07 12:27 pm - [info]majmunka - Snape's head statue for the Memorial Hall of Heroes

The bad news first: I couldn't complete my drawing for the fest. I don't know the exact reason, sometimes it just doesn't work. I feel guilty about it so I decided to make it up to you - and to HIM. This is Snape's head statue I made for the Memorial Hall of Heroes. (Sure it exists but where should it be? In the Ministry of Magic? In Hogwarts? What do you think?)
I hope you like it enough to forgive me for the missing fanart.

11/5/07 03:48 pm - [info]bohemianspirit - FIC: Knowing Jack

Title: Knowing Jack
Author: [info]bohemianspirit
Type: Fiction (Gen, Het)
Length: Short Story
Pairings: Severus/Dora (OFC)
Series: Sequel to Light Between the Cracks.
Rating: PG-13

Summary: A little over a year after Severus' death, his widow has his remains moved to their hometown. Harry attends the funeral and gets a glimpse of the life Severus had kept hidden from the wizarding world.

Notes: Song lyrics quoted are from "The Water is Wide," a traditional folk song, and from "At My Funeral," by the Crash Test Dummies (on their 1991 album titled, appropriately enough, The Ghosts That Haunt Me). Also in this story: Spot the Hemingway allusion!

This sequel was not planned, it just sort of emerged... and there may be another, but probably not in time for this Fest. ;-)

11/4/07 08:03 pm - [info]auctasinistra - Fic Post Part 2

This is Part 2 of ... er ... several parts (yes, this is a WIP)

11/4/07 07:53 pm - [info]bluestocking79 - FIC: To Make the Heart Grow Fonder (Snily, PG-13)

Sincerest apologies for my late entry; I had planned to be on time, but RL got in the way. Thank you to the gracious mods for granting a grace period for use latecomers, and thanks for holding this wonderful fest. Although writing this fic was sometimes like trying to wring blood from a stone, I'm glad to have had the chance to participate.

Title: To Make the Heart Grow Fonder
Author: [info]bluestocking79
Type: Fiction
Length: 5450
Pairings: Mostly Snape-centric gen, but the story involves unrequited SS/LE and alludes to LE/JP.
Series: No
Rating: PG-13-ish
Warnings: Some references to masturbation.
Summary: At the age of 15, Severus was already confident in his ability to brew fame, bottle glory and stopper death. There are some things, however, that even potions can’t accomplish.
Disclaimer: These characters aren’t mine, and I’m not making any money off of this story. I’m just having a good time playing with J.K. Rowling’s characters.
Notes: Written for the [info]snape_after_dh fest, for the prompt 'Amortentia.'

This is set in the Autumn term of Snape’s 5th year, so it’s pre-Shrieking Shack and pre-Snape’s Worst Memory.

Warnings: Unconventional and mildly irreverent handling of religious concepts may possibly offend some people. The Deity treating Severus Snape with respect and love may possibly offend others.

Note: Thanks to the moderators of [info]snape_after_dh for extending the deadline for posting, I offer you the following bonus story, not originally planned... unless, perhaps, it was Ordained On High... ;-)

11/1/07 10:12 pm - [info]snape_dh_mod - Snape After DH Fest Wrap-Up

It's Nov. 1st and the Fest is drawing to a close. So many of you have poured out last-second contributions today.

We're stunned and delighted by the outpouring of stories and art here, and we want to thank ALL contributors for their gifts to the Fest and to Snape fandom. The fest has succeeded beyond our hopes, and it's due to your participation and creativity.

A note about late contributions: it's true that the Fest officially ends tonight at midnight. But we always said that posts that went up a few days late were neither here nor there. So, if you have something you're still working on, you should feel free to post it later this week.

At some point (probably mid-November) we will make up the Fest Master List. That truly is the cut-off date for being included in the Master List. You can always post something here later on, but we might not get a chance to include it in the Master List. The need for a cut-off date for compiling the list is the main reason to have an end-date deadline for posting.

But for the next few days, feel free to keep the stories and art coming. And thank you, all of you.

Truly, fanfiction is afterlife. Severus Snape deserved So Much More.

And we gave it to him. Thank you.

11/1/07 06:40 pm - [info]auctasinistra - Fic post

First off, I apologize for sucking in the ability-to-finish-on-deadline department, and thank the mods for being kind. Secondly, this is part one of my challenge fic, which will, God willing and the creek don’t rise, be followed in due course by parts two and three, possibly four, as soon as I can get them done. Again, my apologies that this is as close as I could get to meeting the deadline (and for that matter interpreting the prompt).

11/1/07 08:46 pm - [info]slythwolf - Fic: All Was Well or What Really Happened

Title: All Was Well or What Really Happened
Author: [info]slythwolf
Link: here on IJ; also mirrored at GJ and JF
Type: Fiction
Length: 5,000 words
Pairings: It's mostly gen; there are a few pairings implied, but I'd like them to remain a surprise. Mostly het, for a wonder.
Warnings: Slight blood and language.
Series: Ties into my OC series, The Lilith Davis Chronicles, which has not been finished yet. Also poised to launch a series of AS/S sequels (which may have some Severus/OC or Severus/crossover character) when the LDChron are finished.
Rating: PG
Summary: What really happened? Well, the way of things is this: what happens in a story is what the reader believes happens. So that an author can tell the readers, this character is not a hero, and the readers can know she's wrong. In much the same way, the way it ends is the way the reader believes it ends. What lives and breathes about a story does so in the reader's heart. Here is what lives and breathes in mine.
Notes: A sort of companion piece to my post-OotP fic 'All Dogs Go' and to my first post-DH fic 'The Death of Rats'. Therefore, shades of Discworld. For unrelated reasons, shades of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Written for [info]snape_after_dh. Prompt: 'The epilogue that should have been.'
Disclaimer: Fair use. Don't sue me; if you take my money, how will I pay for my wedding?
