“So you’ve decided to marry.” Lucius fingered the decanter of aged single malt. He poured Severus a drink, then himself, then sat. “I wondered if you ever would.”
“It was a surprise to us both, particularly after so many years teaching at the same school.” Severus sipped his whisky. “Finding that we had so much in common was a pleasant surprise.”
“The Vectors are a fine family, albeit a bit soft on Muggles.” Lucius drank, oblivious to Severus’ rigid posture. “Times have changed, I suppose.”
“Indeed,” said Severus, and mentally crossed Lucius and Narcissa off the guest list.
