“Yes, I know about it.” Draco wearily shook his head. He had been shopping in Hogsmeade when he’d heard about his parents’ skullduggery, and he clearly was appalled. “Father isn’t well, and Mother is afraid that facing a trial would kill him. I tried to tell them that severing contact with the Continent is a terrible idea, but Mother is determined.”
“Not a surprise.” Severus glanced at the garden, where Remus and Maggie were pretending to admire the roses. “Your mother is and always will be a Black.”
“Don’t remind me,” said Draco. He shook his head again. “What now?”
