His grandfather had complained bitterly that a marriage six generations back had prevented the Princes from being included among the Sacred Pureblood ranks. “They're no better than the rest of us, the bloody snobs!” he'd railed after one too many fire whiskeys, and he hadn't stopped until his wife had cast a surreptitious somnus.
“I taught Theodore Nott during the late unpleasantness. He was far from my most gifted student,” he said. “Whatever his ancestor cast, I can find my way around.”
Binns considered this, then nodded. “Let us hope you can.”
