The Board arrived via a carriage drawn by glossy, perfectly matched Aethonans, their wings stroking up and down in perfect unison. Minerva, in her best robes, greeted them in the castle courtyard as they swept quietly down from the clouds while the rest of the faculty and staff waited on the front steps.
“They're very stern,” murmured Granger, twisting her hands together.
“They have great responsibility,” Filius replied. “Especially after the war.”
“At least Lucius Malfoy is out,” said Longbottom, standing tall. “And his son.”
“Stop fidgeting. The whole family moved to the Continent,” said Severus.
