“Ah. You decided to overlook the location of my shop and actually keep your appointment.” The wedding planner, Mr. Snape, bowed precisely as the bride and her maid of honor entered. “Welcome.”
“Uh. Thank you.” The interior of the shop was dark, but every book and photograph was clean and precisely shelved, and the satinwood table had a mirror gleam. “Do many people cancel?”
“Occasionally.” Mr. Snape signalled to a slender young man with white-blond hair, who brought out a lovingly polished tea set and a plate of tiny, exquisite sandwiches. “Their choice, and their loss. Tea?”
