The bride hesitated outside the shop door. The Perfect Wedding was a dark, cramped, dusty shop on a dark, narrow, dirty street near Warboys Square, and she wondered if everyone who'd given it five stars on Yawp!.com had been high, drunk, or both.
“You know he planned Angela's wedding, didn't you?” murmured her maid of honor. “Did a bang-up job, too. Remember how great she looked?”
“Yeah. That's why I'm here.” The window was decorated with faded crepe paper hearts and artificial doves that had fought a battle with mice and lost. “All right then, let's do it.”
