Hermione was at work – she was always at work these days, no time for a personal life especially with a boyfriend who preferred Board Game Night at the Leaky to clearing off his desk – when the bright red letter arrived. She aimed a defensive spell as it swooped toward her, but it dodged upwards and exploded in a shower of blinding scarlet.
“HERMIONE GRANGER! OF COURSE I OWN AN UPDATED COPY OF HOGWARTS: A HISTORY! HOW DARE YOU IMPLY OTHERWISE! I DEMAND AN APOLOGY!” bellowed Professor Snape, and every other person in the room stopped to stare.
