In the end, the students went first to the Museum of Muggle Curiosities, then to a replica of a 1940's Muggle home at the Imperial War Museum. A shocking number of the youngsters had had no idea that the Grindelwald War had extended to Muggles, and seeing their bewilderment had been sobering, to say the least.
The field trip ended with a visit to Blackpool, where a small colony of Muggleborn alumni had bought up a block of Victorian semis. Even the Muggle Studies teacher had to admit that it was an enjoyable (and educational) day.
Severus was very pleased.
