The second hint was the audible gasp from stands when Severus flew out for a Quidditch match of the season. Someone cried, “I don't believe it,” an exchange student from Albania crossed himself in the Orthodox fashion, and one girl ran outside with her cloak over her head.

Severus shook his head. Xiomara was on sabbatical, so why was anyone surprised that he was refereeing today?

“Do you have the Snitch?” he said to the Ravenclaw captain.

“Right – bugger!” cried the girl as a huge bulb of garlic flew past to catch Severus right in the shoulder.
