The first hint that something was a bit...off was when the senior kitchen elf reported a dramatic increase in the number of students requesting garlic in their pasta sauce. “We is almost out,” he said, looking as puzzled as an elf could. “Also, first-year students are sneaking and peeking to steal powders of garlic from the storerooms. We is bewildered!”
“So am we – am I,” said Minerva. She turned to her deputy. “Severus? Have you heard of this?”
So that was why the Great Hall smelled like a bad Italian restaurant. Severus frowned. “Not in so many words.”
