“Spellotape?” Albus drew his brows together, and Severus was uncomfortably reminded of a rare caterpillar used in certain rare medications. “In your lab?”
“Edgecomb's cauldron had a hairline crack that did not manifest itself until she'd actually began brewing. The Spellotape held the cauldron together long enough for me to find a substitute without endangering the rest of the class.” Severus could not repress a scowl at the memory: the shrieking girl, the hissing steam as the cauldron began to shudder, the tension draining from the room as the Spellotape held.
“Good heavens! Tell me more.”
