Poppy spent the rest of the evening checking the remaining Slytherins for fever or any other signs of disease, while Filius and Pomona did the same for the students bunked down in their respective houses. Albus, who was a decent alchemist but no healer, offered to assist Severus in compounding more potions to treat the sick girl and forestall the spread of contagion, and it was almost dawn by the time the last student and faculty member had been dosed.

Severus swallowed a vial of immune booster and took his place at the High Table for breakfast. Coffee would help.
