Snape worked the crime scene personally, walking the grid, collecting the evidence, and taking the photographs. His assistants, Granger and Lovegood, were equally determined. This was the fourth teenager snatched from the local malls, and the first with a decently preserved crime scene.
Black and Potter were in the field, so it was up to Lupin to escort the CSIs and the precious evidence back to the lab. He didn't speak until Snape had started the computer runs.
"Does she have a chance?"
Snape's jaw tightened. He stared at the computer. "I don't know."
Lupin cautiously sat. "Neither do I."
