"Of course not," said Black, his partner. "We'll probably have to bribe him again. Why he can't just do his job - "
"That's not fair, Sirius," said Det. Lupin. "You know the lab is swamped."
"We're dealing with a serial killer! You'd think he'd make the time!" Black glared at his old friend.
Lupin's pleasant expression hardened slightly. "You'd prefer Slughorn back?"
"He worked a lot faster."
"And how many cases got thrown out because he botched the results?"
