He would be the perfect spy.
Severus contemplated the sparkle of firelight reflecting off his glass. Zabini might have been raised by a raging bigot, but he had the brains to see what in-breeding had done to the older Wizarding families. Perhaps he would never be chums with Potter and his little friends, but that didn't mean he approved of Malfoy and his hulking bodyguards.
He would be at constant risk.
A contact among the students would be priceless, but what if something went wrong? Would Zabini's oh-so-pure blood protect him?
