Note: this is set a few weeks after the end of Motherless Child, where Snape and Lupin adopt an orphaned werewolf. They have just returned from a trip to Massachusetts where they married.
"I should think we're still together, we just got - " Severus was working up to a full blown rant when another young man came up, swung Draco over, and gave him a kiss that verged on a tonsillectomy. "Draco?"
"I think he's otherwise occupied, love." Remus shifted Johnny to his hip, slipped his free hand into Severus' pocket, and squeezed discretely. It was gratifying to hear Severus make a little sound. "I never guessed Blaise was queer."
"Purebloods." Severus shook his head. "Why I wanted to be one - "
"Thank goodness you came to your senses," said Remus.
