"No joke, sir." She jerked a grimy thumb at the banks of cages hovering behind her. "Says here that they're for 'Severus Snape, Hogwarts,' and that'd be you."
A clipboard with a ragged Fwooper plume quill dyed in the Speedy-Sure Delivery, We Get It There Or Else! colors appeared before him. "Sign here."
"I didn't order these!"
The delivery witch shrugged. "Maybe it's a gift?"
"But - "
"I've got other deliveries to make, don't I? Sign here."
A crup began to howl as Severus reached for the pen.
