Challenge: Snape's happily ever after

Note: this is a Motherless Child drabble series, wherein Snape and Lupin have adopted a young werewolf. Johnny is about seven here.
"Papa?" John watched as the happy couple emerged from Westminster Abbey. "Will they live happily ever after?"
Severus raised an eyebrow. Remus, always more sentimental, was gazing mistily at the Potters' new, expensive, specially-charmed telly and didn't appear to have heard the question. "They seem happy enough. Why do you ask?"
"Well, they're a prince and a princess," said John. "Aren't they supposed to live happily ever after?"
Severus thought of another royal wedding, thirty years earlier, and then looked over at his partner, dabbing surreptitiously at his eyes as he spoke to Hermione and Neville. "One would hope."
