Severus looked up from his copy of the Prophet. Normally he eschewed gossip, but normally Filius and Minerva weren't the gossipers.
"I understand his caution," said Minerva. "The Board of Governors - "
"It's almost the 21st century, my dear," said Filius. "His friendship with Elphias is no one's business but his. Even the Governors should realize that."
Minerva shook her head. "We both know better. If even Albus has to be so discreet - "
Severus stared blindly at the newspaper, glad he could hide behind it. How could anyone be that naïve?
