Phil finished hanging the award certificate on the wall and stepped back to check the position. Shelley would be over later, and he wanted the shop to look perfect.
"Congratulations," rasped a voice behind him.
"Severus?" Phil frowned. He'd heard rumors about an accident a couple of years before, but hearing how weak Severus sounded was a shock. "Sit down before you fall down."
Severus raised an eyebrow. "It sounds worse than it is, Phil."
"Really?"
"Really." Severus actually smiled. "Short this time, I think. I'm ready for a change."
"Good on you," said Phil, and picked up his scissors.
