"You need to use a different shampoo, Sev." Phil grimaced at the condition of his cousin's hair. "You'll never find work if looks like this."

"I've been busy," muttered Severus.

"Too busy to shower? No, don't answer that." Phil motioned for him to lean back in the chair. "Here. I'll show you what to use after I've trimmed it."

Severus relaxed as hot water sluiced over his scalp. He favored Toby, down to the family nose. Phil allowed himself a moment to hope that his son would inherit Shelley's nose before starting to rinse.

A man could hope, couldn't he?
