Snape sneered. "I had my reasons."

"Our Lord - "

"He agrees with my reasoning."

"He agrees? Then why am I stuck with - " Lucius gestured at the overly made up shop girl leaving grease spots on Narcissa's napery.

"Different trainee, different talents." Snape yawned. "Young Stanley has is excellent at cacao-based potions."

"Cacao - " Lucius stopped. "Severus. You're brilliant!"

Snape smiled slightly. "What better way to influence the unwary than a nice hot cup of cocoa?"

“Where did you find it?” asked Minerva when Severus placed a hand in the small of her back and handed her a slim blue bottle.

“It was in Filch’s stash of confiscated items.”

“How on earth did it get there?”

“He took it off a first year who swore he’d found it in the dungeon.”

Minerva smiled. “Better sew up the hole in your pocket.”

“Already did. I’m just glad to get it back. I’ve been looking forward to using it all week.”

“Tonight, my room, the usual time?”

“I’ll be there.” His fingers trailed off in a quick caress.
