"Hello, Professor Snape," Lovegood said. Her voice sounded more ethereal than usual, if that was possible. "It's so nice, seeing you make friends."
Severus sneered at the vampire, who had downed another alcoholic beverage and was leering sloppily at a female guest. "Sanguini is not my friend, Miss Lovegood. He is a source of amusement and annoyance."
"That's a nice start," said the girl. She picked up a carrot, murmured a few words, and tucked the result behind her ear. "Friends are always good."
Severus curled his lip. Lovegood was intelligent, but far too idealistic for comfort. "So you say."
