It might have been the whisky, the general hilarity of the occasion, or simply the fact that there were too many guests for him to make a graceful escape, but Severus found himself replying to Lupin's efforts at conversation. The wolf was not stupid, and -
A chunk of greenery floated overhead. Lupin looked up, smiled, and before Severus could object, he leaned forward and gave Severus a tasteful but promising kiss.
"What?"
"Mistletoe," said Lupin. He smiled. "And before you ask, yes, I meant it."
Snape took a deep breath. "Good," he said, and let Lupin kiss him again.
