"Minerva. This is not going to work." Snape flinched as she adjusted his robes. "Faking a romantic relationship with your friend Anna is not going to work. Nott will see through it immediately."
"You don't know that," came the brisk reply. "Anna is a lovely woman. Dinner out will not kill you."
Snape bit back a querulous reply. His last romantic relationship had been with a now-deceased male Death Eater, not that he'd shared this with his co-workers. "I trust she does not smell of budgie litter, or crochet incessantly."
"No to either," said Minerva. "You'll have a lovely time."
