March 9th, 2008bethbethbeth @ : Challenge #220: Snape and Time (Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal) Challenge #220: Snape and Time. In honor of the start of Daylight Savings Time (in most of the U.S., at least), this week's challenge is to write a Snape-centric drabble that includes some reference to time (a specific hour, minute, second, or even a time of day). alwaysasnapefan @ : Measured Moments Title: Measured Moments Rating: G Word Count: 100 Prompt: #220. Snape and Time Disclaimer: Never owned it. Never will. Harry Potter belongs to Jo. Warning: Character death. Measured Moments The two seconds after he learned of the Dark Lord's plan to go after the Potters (7:43:07-7:43:08 p.m.) were the longest in his life, he thought. Then came the entire minute after he learned of his Lily's death (4:13 a.m.). And then that period of three hours (6:00-9:00 p.m.) in which he had and lost Sirius Black; had and lost fame. And then those last moments of his life, those last seven minutes and thirty-eight seconds (5:34:52-5:42:30 p.m.) were the longest. After all that, in his death, time was no longer a measurable thing. He liked that about the afterlife. bluestocking79 @ : A Change for the Better Challenge #220: Snape and Time Title: A Change for the Better Author: bluestocking79 Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 100 Pairing: Snape/? For years, mornings had attacked Severus with shocking alarms, ripping him from dreams and confronting him with reality: an empty bed and empty life, untouched by another soul. In dreams, Severus had enjoyed the things that had always eluded him: respect, success, fellowship, love. Mornings had only tormented him with their absence. Now Severus woke gently, roused by a splash of sunlight in his eyes. Distant dreams were forgotten as he curled around his warm, welcoming lover beside him, thinking lazy thoughts of morning sex and breakfast in bed. He’d never liked mornings, but he could get used to this. |
