Severus scowled heavily as he let the fabric settle around him. His nostrils flared as he breathed deeply in annoyance. He’d been working on this for months, practising painstakingly, attempting to perfect it ... And it still wasn’t quite working.
He took another deep breath, nostrils flaring again as he inhaled noisily.
Slowly, he focused his mind and settled his magic before straightening his spine. Looking straight ahead, he began taking long, measured ― and finally completely silent ― strides. As he walked, his black cloak began sweeping behind him in a billow.
Snape’s black eyes glinted victoriously. At last.
