I am bringing Trader Joe's simmer sauce with me as well as their pumpkin bread mix, dried cranberries and some kind of nuts (either walnuts or pecans, depending on what I have in the cabinet).
Okay what I need is:
a big bag of frozen peas. A large package of tofu (firm or extra firm preferably) unless you want to make the mattar with chicken breast (but tofu is cheaper). I already have the simmer sauce here (courtesy of Trader Joe's). Also basmati rice would be fantastic (white or brown)
I will need eggs (2) for the pumpkin bread and vegetable oil. I also need dairy free margerine -- either Smart Balance Light (in a tub) or Fleishmann's Unsalted sticks. The Smart Balance will say "lactose free" on it -- the other might not, so check and make sure it's got a U in a circle and Pareve on it. (Other types of Fleischmann have milk it them so it's difficult. Smart Balance Light would prolly be easier for you to find! :))
twilightsorcery had said something about making chicken tikka masala which usually requires yogurt so if you can find plain soy yogurt (and find out how much it requires), that would help me. If not, I'll pick some up here. It would just be easier not to have to schlep it down from NY (even in a cooler, I'd worry about spoilage).
And for general groceries, I will love you forever if you can provide bananas and diet Coke (my choice of poison and caffeine since I don't drink coffee). I'll happily throw money at you for all of the above in a few minutes. ♥
(Also, not to sound fussy but if we're having any meal that's only fish, can I opt out. I'm actually allergic to salmon. :-()
