Lena was right, of course, in that there were some uncomfortable side-effects of pregnancy that one tended to forget about.  Granted, she experienced these side-effects first hand and he did not, so perhaps his selective amnesia was more understandable, but all the same- he didn't want her to be uncomfortable or unhappy.  Not that Sean really thought Lena was unhappy, but, well, if there was something he could do to make her more happy, he'd do it without question.

Which is how he came to find himself in a jewelry store, mingling in between early Christmas shoppers as he looked for a new wedding band for Lena.  He'd already talked with the jeweler, an older man who had explained to him (in more detail than Sean had really required) how some jewelry was built to withstand size-changing charms and some were not.  It was confusing to Sean, but the conclusion seemed clear enough- he had to buy her a new ring, one that was already had a resizing charm.

It had taken longer than he'd expected, though he was happy with what he'd found, in the end.  And, at least this time he wasn't nervous leaving the jeweler's- he already knew that Lena would say yes!

He'd left home after dinner, but when Sean apparated into their home's entranceway, the house seemed quiet.  He'd told Lena not to worry about waiting up for him if she was tired- and she did get tired much easier, nowadays.  Not that he blamed her in the least, of course!  It just meant that he was extra quiet as he shrugged his coat off and removed his shoes, not wanting to wake any sleeping Woods.
