The ship was docked in the bay, easily accessible by dock to all who attended. Even though the event was invite-only, no wards had been placed on the ship's enterance and no security had been hired. The boat didn't need much decoration, but Daphne had gone all out anyhow. Thousands of lanterns floated in the air, illuminating the ship with a soft light.
Daphne had left the layout pretty simple: dance floor in the middle, stage on the bow and food and drinks scattered about far enough that no one was crowded, but not so spread out that the party would look bare if not everyone showed up. There were also benches and chairs and tables throughout, meaning anyone who just wanted to sit and relax could do so.
There was a banquet of food, with everything from a roast pig to sushi, with another table of desserts. For drinks, there was all of the non-alcoholic goodies, as well as mead, firewhiskey, beer and varieties of liquor. The band played a lively mix of classic and contemporary tunes all night, and Eleanor, Daphne and other hired performers would often break into sing-alongs and seemingly impromptu dance performances, but it was all staged. And all of it was to encourage people to drink - after all, that's what pirates do.
At one point in the night, there was an epic sword fight between Georgina and Chad. But perhaps the kicker of the night was the wonderous revenge that Eleanor and Daphne had on Adrian Pucey. Once he walked the plank, the night continued on merrily.
All of the action took place on deck, and any downstairs access was warded off (but Daphne isn't the best with warding). In addition to performances, there were also a variety of parrots and other exotic beasts, as well as photographers and artists who were hired to paint the portraits of anyone asked.
Anyone who didn't show up in costume was offered an eye patch, hat, beard or any combination of the three. But costumes weren't necessary.
