Galen says hello
Terry here, with the TechnoMage Galen from the Babylon 5 'verse.

He's a perfect example of that old saying, "Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." He's got a lot of hardware installed. Dropping in from 2264 (hyperdrive malfunction of some sort, he thinks) Galen is one of the white hats, even if he does usually wear black. He's finding himself a bit handicapped by the lack of large energy sources in 1964. Anybody got a nuclear reactor he can borrow?

Although he comes off a bit stiff at first, he is a caring person. Galen left a few good friends behind when he made the jump to New York. He just tends to meddle occasionally without being asked. He might think he knows what's best.  He's also hasn't been in any sort of relationship since the death of Isabella some 10+ years ago. She died because Galen refused to use his ultimate weapon to save her. He's over that little inhibition now. Take a look at his character sheet for more information about him.

Galen will definitely be interested in any of the high-tech research and development organizations. He needs a job of some sort if he wants to live someplace better than his small ship at the bottom of Meadow Lake. A power source to recharge his ship and himself would be nice. Magic users with inborn abilities would no doubt amuse him. Anybody trying to imprison him, bully him or others, and generic bad guys he would probably not find so amusing.

I'm available off and on most days, email terry dot buyers at gmail dot com or AIM simiangrudge. Up for any sort of plotting and SLs. I'm chief engineer at a brand name hotel and frequently have to be at work just sitting and waiting for something to break, so feel free to ping if you see me online. Galen is new to me, and I'm looking forward to running him through the wringer. Always willing to help somebody do the same to their kids.

Tony does have a nuclear power source >.> Whether or not he's willing to let anyone touch it remains to be seen. But yay for potential plot? :D

Gaylen says, "A fission reactor? How quaint.Low powered, but better than a wall outlet in a hotel room."

Definitely a potential plot element since Galen knows hardware construction. Although it would be a case of making the tools to make the tools to make the tools, Galen just might be able to help out Mr. Stark with accessorizing his fancy suit.

>>> Galen wrote briefly on a piece of paper he found on the desk, all the while holding up one finger to silence the other man's questions. He looked up, then handed the paper to Stark. "Eglin steel. Should be within your industrial capabilities. Or, would you prefer a laminated ceramic and metal armor plate?" <<<

Oh heck yes. Not to mention Tony would be quite the introduction to the 1960s for Galen.

Since Galen's from the far future, and Amy's been to the far future, I think they could definitely share that as a bond. Granted, I haven't seen any B5 (though it's been "on my list" for years), but we could work out some stuff they might both know...

Easy enough to say that as a member of The Circle (the TechnMage order)Galen is aware of the Doctor, even if he doesn't know which one Amy's been associated with. Or Amy could have been around the Shadow war with the Doctor.

Galen can't do tall and dark, but if she wants to run into a medium and balding guy, I'm up for it. Feel free to ping if you catch me online.
